- I'm late to the party as usual but here is the final album art for CMYK! This art will be printed on the cover of the physical album which is so exciting! I'm very late posting this so preorders for the physical album are only open for less than a week as of uploading this speedpaint!

oh my goddd the colours are gorgeous?? i'm so blown away-- i love all their designs, and key's colour scheme changing to reflect cyan, magenta and yellow's is so cool!! gaahhhh i can't compliment this piece enough it's just so pretty i love it so much

THANK YOU SO MUCH, i'm glad you think so!!! i really strive to include brighter colors in my art in a harmonious way, its still something im learning and working on!! and yeah sorry about the hair rendering being missing!! im not sure what happened to it ngl, i maybe forgot to unpause my recording?

thank you puff, you're always super sweet!! as for tips for improving hmm... this might sound generic but something that i always do whenever i feel a drive to improve is look at artwork from artists i really admire and try to pick out what it is that i like about their style. i try to take those bits that i like and mash it into one big style of my own, and if im not sure how to do that i try replicating their process or what i think they're doing in my own art! i'd say a tip for doing that is to not try to improve everywhere all at once-- i mean go ham if youre inspired to try a very ambitious piece, its always better to try, but as a general rule of thumb keeping a piece 80% familiar and 20% trying something new means you can push yourself and learn a little bit with each artwork instead of burning out! thats not a hard rule or anything and ofc you can also do specific studies but personally i like to learn along the way!
i also keep a private discord server filled with a bunch of inspo art categorized by what i like about it/want to pull from it (ie; coloring, style, composition, posing) which is really helpful when im stuck or want to reference!
sorry for the wall of text but i hope any of that is useful!!! have fun drawing!!

I usually try to do that, I always find looking at speedpaints help a ton because it lets me see a persons actual process in full or mostly in full! it kinda bums me when I have an idea but I can't go through with it because I'm not advanced enough in my anatomy but it takes time so I'll keep on doing that and experiment with new things :D thank you so much that was really useful

thanks! that’s when I found out that the album was going to be printed physically so I had to add a bleed to the drawing in order for it to be cropped for physical print! I had already started rendering so I figured I’d just paint in all the missing edge details ^^
