I think HYBE is trying to be experimental with KATSEYE, but the EP to me makes no sense. Beautiful Chaos was all over the place, the songs didn't really blend with each other in one concept. Plus when I think of experimental I think of Bjork or Arca or SOPHIE, Charli xcx etc. but at least they have meaningful lyrics, KATSEYE's lyrics don't really make sense. And with a song like Gnarly, it's okay to listen to once in a while. But it's not something I'd listen to all the time, and the rap feels sort of mediocre and wanting to be "cunty" so bad. But it just sounds like a mess. I really hope HYBE steps it up with these girls because they're set up to fail and get hate at this point. Especially with the Manon stuff. I don't know who the hell is managing that group, but they're digging a big deep grave.
