Hey Logan, thank you for the video. I am researching to have the same thing done to my home with leaky ductwork and popping into your comments 2 years later to see if you are still happy with your results and if you would still chose to do it today?
Logan, thanks for posting this. Did you notice any cracking and popping (noisy ductwork) before Aeroseal? Also, did you smell the sealant for a few days after?
I do aeroseal as my job, check with your utility company to see if they have a green energy program for example in my state in CT they have a green energy program for the utility companies and you can get a home energy audit and aeroseal for a low cost co-pay.
If you recovered about 300 Cfm of loss and you have a medium sized unit that’s two small rooms of heating and cooling you just got back. If you can be more comfortable in your house cost savings isn’t the main conversation.
well I haven’t have to check the chance to check bills. I can say that the air conditioner and furnace run for about half the time that they normally do because the rooms get to optimal temperature about double the speed. It used to be the upstairs would never be cool and now it’s absolutely freezing in the summer which is incredible. Just so nice to have a perfect temperature in every room without waiting and waiting. We’re so in love with the results
@@LoganDunning No I service a ton of new construction homes that were roughly built 12 years ago and simular spray application was done during building. They are having major air leakage problems everywhere in the homes.. People are pissed because they were sold on the marketing bs for the product. If the construction contractor just did regular mastic work with their ducts there wouldn't be leaking issues and they won't not have air loss to rooms of their new homes. They spent over 300k for
definitely well worth it. Besides the cost savings. It’s so nice that the house heats up and cools down so quickly now. I almost forget that I increase the temperature because I don’t hear the vents. Normally I’d hear the vents for so long because it was just trying to get to that desired temperature.
It's not to be compared to a "duct cleaner truck" which runs about 500 dollars. Completely different helpful and great solution! Our upstairs rooms heat and cool SO much quicker now!
I use a duct blaster for pressure testing (leakage in cfm) ...use smoke to find the leaks and go in and use mastic. Then retest pressure leakage for a lot cheaper and not gross and stick like the AeroSeal

Very cool! We love hearing all the great reviews about duct sealing!
🙏😁
what was the price?
Thx for doing this vid. I needed a 3rd party to validate
Wondering if you noticed less dust, wehave dirt crawlspace and was hoping by sealing ducts would help with dust, thanks for video
Yes we have noticed that the air quality is better. And we don’t have to change the filter as much 😬
Logan, thanks for posting this. Did you notice any cracking and popping (noisy ductwork) before Aeroseal? Also, did you smell the sealant for a few days after?
To answer your first question no unfortunately not. And the smell lasted for about 24 to 48 hours.
hope that helps glad you like the video 🙏❤️
What was the cost of the duct sealing, 4 years later is it still beneficial, any reduction in heating costs

Hi Logan! Nice video, I think we are in the same area... 6mo later would you still recommend?
Absolutely yes! Fantastic Investment 🙏❤️
@@LoganDunning How about now? Im about to spend almost 2K for it but Im very skeptical on it.
Is it loud during the process
Not as loud as getting your Air Ducts Cleaned :)

Nice video! Did you see some energy savings since having this done? If so how much? They say you should see 20-40%.
I’m going to check my bills and report back. Because it’s been a couple months 🙏❤️
@Billy Og Stuff doesn't even last 10 years. Better to invest in doors, windows and insulation

Zack have you had it for 10 years?

What has your savings been per month?
probably about 10 to 15% in the winter and maybe about 10% in the summer.

How much did it cost?
It depends on a lot of factors, can be anywhere for 1500-3000 CAD.
Hope that helps
Yikes!

@@LoganDunning Hi Logan. Do they clean your ducts for you before they spray this stuff in your duct system?
@@LoganDunning Also, do they guarantee their work and if so how many years do they guarantee it for? Thanks
Price?
it’s based on square footage. You really have to meet with the sales rep to get a proper price.
I can say for a 3k square foot home ranges from 3k-5k CAD
You can buy mastic tape and seal your own ducts.
Just buy a bucket of duct seal and a 69c paint brush.
Where are you from? I notice your ducts aren’t insulated

Except that only works in new construction. This can be done after the house is built.
I highly recommend NOT pumping chemicals into your air supply system (ductwork)
