Thank you so much for this video, Rando. At age 76, I had never dared to disassemble a model railroad engine of any kind, but after watching your video, I was confident I could repair my trolley. I used two round toothpicks, the kind that are tapered to a point at each end, to remove the outer shell. I broke each of the two toothpicks in half and carefully pushed the sharp ends down near the tabs that hold the shell in place. When all four toothpick points were in place, the shell pulled out easily. Now, I am going to buy some iso alcohol, and I'm still waiting for shipment of some LaBelle 108 oil, so I can clean and lightly oil the parts. The metal contacts on the trucks (bogies) are super dirty. Thanks to your great video, I am sure I can get this cute little thing rolling again. It has been sitting in a drawer for 40 years! I'll let you know my final results. I'm embarrassed I have never been brave enough to try this before, but I learned a long time ago that a pic is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth a thousand pictures. Your video is excellent.🙂

Thank you for your kind feedback. I’m glad the video was helpful to you.
I use isopropyl alcohol for cleaning. And sewing machine oil for the metal gears - as for the plastic gear just some cheap silicone grease - and traction tyres from silicon tubes 🫡
