    What a fantastic video! Thank you. Convinced me to purchase the F405! ...Appreciate the comments on keeping the mind sharp, the hobby, and overall positivity around this. I grew up around RC, of all types. Have enjoyed it my whole life. I'm 50 this year, and my father is 72. He's been flying since he was 17! Thanks again, keep climbing 😎

    A great FC, the pros from me is the wireless connection and the app to configure the setting. For me personally I think this is one of the best inav boards on the market for value for money and ease of use. Great review

      Yeah I agree I am pretty happy with it was certainly a good upgrade from the f411wing board I previously had in the plane. Thanks for the comment 🤠

    Nice build/upgrade and setup. Good work keeping clean and tidy. As part of preflight checks, doing a control surface check in a flight stabilized mode would ensure responds in correct direction. Not so critical here having flown prior. Would be more so if were setting up new servos servos.
    Looking forward to seeing the re-maiden and your thoughts on flying with the Speedbee wing FC. Thinking of doing a similar 411 FC upgrade.

    I recently acquired an FX-61. I had wanted it or a similar big wing for quite a few years. I think I will fly it stock at first, but would really like to try a twin tractor mod if I can "Do no harm" in the process.

      Could be driver issue have you downloaded the latest stm driver and installed it? Also make sure your running iNav configutator 7.0 as well. I would think it should install no problems.

      @@abe101isabeast interesting with these issues mine is running inav7 currently with no issues installing. I did have 1 issue which wasn’t connecting but it turned out to be the cable I was using. Maybe ask someone a developer in the iNav Facebook page to see what they say. I’m sure the issue must be something simple.

    Do you by chance have a copy of your initial settings others could use to push into the CLI and get the setup you like? For those of us just starting out it would be nice to have the same basic default settings as you, same OSD, inputs/outputs, rth, takeoff assist.
    I’ve been watching you for quite some time and I would like to see what you use as your default setting in iNAV if possible

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  8 дней назад

      @@iamsoulcandy Thanks for watching I will see what I can do regarding this. Obviously to just copy everything from cli is not really recommended unless you are using the exact same plane and all hardware included weight would also need to be very close just to copy all settings.
      Saying this copying OSD and other basic setup should not be a problem. Do you fly an fx61?

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  8 дней назад

      Heres the OSD setup i use on it although now it runs a Walksnail Avatar HD FPV system now so these most probably will not work if your running any analog FPV system. I'll also do a video of the full setup on this plane and how its setup in INAV.

    I bought this board but im pretty sure i burned it out :(. i sunk my pins too far down and when i connected in a servo, it bent the board towards the battery terminals and sparks came out. I never could connect to Inav after via Bluetooth or usb.

I can seem to find any shorts on the pwm pins by just eyeballing and a magnifier...I am almost heartbroken...I am brand knew at all these and the cost....can anyone please advise on what I can do

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  7 месяцев назад

      @@babawandea6214It sounds like a possible soldering issue on the pins? If one board is showing movement on the app can only be wiring ,solder or bad servo? That board sounds like it’s setup correctly. Triple check all your connections again and test the servo is ok on an external power source.

    • @user-otzlixr
      @user-otzlixr 6 месяцев назад

      @@babawandea6214I ran into a similar issue. It turned out to be dead servos.
      I now never buy rtf planes, keep plenty of servos on hand, and bought a tester.
      It actually happened on the board on my original post. Frustration got to me, and I didn’t put in all the screws, hence why the board was not firm and sparks flew.
      I would also add one more lesson I learned. Test one thing at a time. I had also installed a sd card , which gave me the impression the board was dead. While revisiting this after a few weeks, I discovered the board was NOT dead, it was just booting VERY slowly because of the sad card. Now I have a spare to test in a plane I’m not crazy about :)

For my wing I'm not going to use GPS, just fly like a model airplane. They told me that I have to arm it (using arm mode) and then lower the engine stick and turn it to the right, but it didn't work. Do you have in mind what it could be? strong hug. Vagner

      Arming your setup will depend upon which firmware you choose to install to the f405 either ardupilot or inav. In my case I use inav and arming is done via a switch once GPS has collected enough satellites. Which firmware have you installed on it? Thanks for the comment.

      Sorry but i can't exactly pinpoint why its doing that other than that it could be just a warning when the system cannot detect any radio link? Hi is it okay if I didnt have airspeed control?

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  8 месяцев назад

      It's ok not to have it but I recommend it if you plan to fly in windy conditions as you can more easily see if the craft is flying into a headwind or tailwind. So basically your airspeed reading may read 40kph but your ground speed is 0kph let's you know your not moving at all but fighting a 40kph headwind. Very over exaggerated example but you get the point I hope. Also handy for tuning automated flights for the same reason.

      The receiver/RX which has the antenna plugs into the flight controller. The flight controller doesn’t have an antenna if that’s what’s confusing you.

    Very great Video, like this Setup. I have a little Question: How did you calibrate the right Side, where the Cable of that USB Part is connected? Also the Top Side is not flat

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  Год назад

      The right I calibrated with the bottom of the FC against a wall and the top I had it propped up with foam it came sitting in. Just make sure it is totally still.

    Can you use that without an air speed sensor?

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes you can the air speed sensor is not really necessary unless you want to fly automated modes such as waypoints, rth etc. It is worth using as you can tell if your flying into a headwind or tailwind which is helpful for throttle control. I have other planes which don't use an air speed sensor and they perform just as well. I just can't tell if I'm flying into a headwind which could cause a stall if not enough throttle is applied

      Thank you for the great info. I have a BE-220 GPS and it has only 4 wires for the output and my speedy bee fc has 5 wire pins for the GPS input, where do I plug the 4 wires of the BE-220?

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@ryanomoso7173 if your GPS has a compass built in normally has 6 wires, usually 4 is all you need if no compass. If your building a plane compass is not used only need + - rx and TX when wiring up rx to TX and TX to rx on flight controller.

    Why did you choose İNAV?

    • @stonesrcchannel
      @stonesrcchannel  Год назад

      Mainly because it was running well previously on that so most of my diff all settings were just copied across to the new FC . The thought did cross my mind to switch it over.

      Because compared to the complexity of Ardupilot, i-nav is a walk in the park...😉

      @@k1ortia yes that as well.. In saying that i do enjoy ardupilot as well and have it on a couple of my planes but the simplicity of inav is hard to beat. At least for the builds i do anyway.

      I kept some of my old diff all files as the craft was flying well with the old FC, but other than that it is a new setup just not as detailed if your new to INAV

      Hi mate.
      I need help. I've tried and tried, but I cannot get any signal from my TX to the FC, I'm using a Spektrum nx10 and an orange r620x reciver with sbus
      For my Fx-61.
      I have the sbus in the first port, then motor in s1 wings in s3 and s4.
      Uart2 is set to Serial RX
      Reciver type is set to serial, and sbus is selected in serial provider.
      But now I'm lost.
