My neighbor ran one of the first CAT Excavators here in California. He was sharing stories with me about how they ran and how the transported sections of it on different trucks. That was cool shit..
I don’t know why but all your videos, including this one are so captivating and satisfying. My wife always asks why I always watch them. She just doesn’t get it. Keep up the excellent work!
@@nigelwilliams8191 Those beacons always get to me. I low visibility is has its place, in road construction with a lot of traffic and working immediality near the driving lanes, it has a place. But it does nothing at a mine/construction site. You just do not walk inside the working radius of an excavator, no matter if theres a flashing light or not, if you do it, there should be a law, making the operator hit you in the head with the bucket untill it that is clear.

@@codymoreland4496 that's very hard to tell, cos every other soil type weights differently;for example wet sand definitely is alot heavier than dry sand-dust. Also gravel which has more rocks mixed inside weights more than more sandy gravel. Hope you got my point.
@@codymoreland4496 while the answer is correct that it varies depending on the exact material, and we can't tell if that's granite or limestone for instance, but it looks like very dry, and a course sand, so just for purposes of getting a general idea, I just looked up the weight of dry sand, which is 1,631 kg per cubic meter. That's close enough for rough figures, unless it's an extremely light material, which it is doubtful.

Looks like the excavator is prepping ground for another landfill extension, commonly referred to as an addition CELL for refuse...? Or a hold some sort of contaminated material.
Certainly, the operator will operate the excavator more smoothly after getting used to it for a while. I hope you can watch more beautiful videos about excavators.

Cool sandbox!
Who the hell would give that a thumbs down. If you run equipment especially an Excavator. Watching that beast is sick !!!
The video is so beautiful, from the ground to the sky, and also the excavator
Gotta love it when the truck drivers make you swing twice as far as you need to
So What would you do ! ? If that happened to you !?

That shot tracking with the first pass was a really great bit of flying!
The sky, the ground, and the excavator make for a really beautiful shot.
Great Excavator CAT
That C27 roaring sound says bring me 777 DT, and the material fells like sugar
Its insane how quickly it fills up those giant dump trucks in a few buckets
Correct, the buckets of excavators can hold a very large amount of material, making the process of filling up dump trucks much faster.

How many 6015’s do you own????
I agree, My 870 does the same, 10cy bucket.
