I've done this in the past where I passed out water and snacks to homeless people. At first it was good, then people started saying they got a "friend" over there or a "friend" can't make it cause they watching they kid and what not. Then I caught one lying and took 2-3 servings because they hungry. I get it though, hunger is hard to beat, but I want to be able to feed at least one per person. Make a rule saying if they want food they need to show up and line up. It's not being mean, its to make sure you're not feeding people who take more than needed especially if its to only feed themselves. Other thank that, thank you for doing this, we need more people to do this. Even if people only does these things once a month, its better than not doing anything at all.

I like the idea of having those carry out containers. It is easier for the people to carry and keeps the portions more uniform so that everyone gets a bit of everything. I hate seeing those last few people not get a portion of sides to complete the meal

Yes, and I'll even go further and say that I sometimes feel that the bigger men, especially, should get a bigger portion. Men are usually bigger eaters than females, even when the guy is on the smaller side physically.
I do like when you cook in front of them, because it's more entertaining with your interactions. but i see why you do it this way too. Portion control, and less waiting for them.
I don’t think this is a good idea because it could easily cause someone to go crazy and do something stupid for an extra plate, some homeless people are not in the best mental state. He also has to worry about a lawsuit if anything happens

I don’t think this is a good idea because it could easily cause someone to go crazy and do something stupid for an extra plate, some homeless people are not in the best mental state. He also has to worry about a lawsuit if anything happens
