Hi!! Sorry for replying to such an old comment but that’s completely different and here’s why! You’re right that we have ammonia in our body, but only trace amounts. I’m sure you know that a surplus of anything in the body can be absolutely detrimental. Plus, we’re not really made to inhale large amounts of anything besides oxygen anyways lol. When ammonia is burned (for example: through smoking) it undergoes combustion. The combustion of ammonia changes it completely and yields water and nitrogen monoxide. Water may not sound very scary, but a lot of problems arise from that nitrogen monoxide gas. Nitrogen monoxide can be extremely harmful to most land animals when exhaled. It can cause infections in the respiratory system and even increase your chances of developing certain diseases. Those people who got an F in chemistry are actually right to be scared of smoking 😁
