I recommend a wider base and something heavy like gravel or small rocks for inside the scratching pole. Needs a bit of heft so kitty doesn't pull the whole thing apart in seconds. They don't hold back with the scratches!

if anyone is curious if cardboard can actually hold a cat, yes it can. You just have to make thicker pieces of cardboard for it to be able to manage your cats weight. I have a grown cat who is pretty big lol but she can lay on top of a cardboard box the vet gives without it collapsing.

Very cute kitty house 🏠 😍. I would probably have to make mine out of wood because I have 2 fully grown big beautiful Ragdoll cats 🐈 😍 and they would sit up the top of it and then it would be squashed and destroyed 🤣 because they also love ripping 📦 boxes apart! But I can see that this would be great for smaller sized cats 🐈 especially kittens 😸. It's so lovely to know that you put a lot of effort into pleasing your kitties. I can see that you love your 🐈 cats? I love my Ragdoll cats as they are my kids ❤ 💕. I have a Weehoo cat stroller so I take my 2 beauty's for a stroll most days. I don't let them outside alone because its dangerous outside with speeding cars, foxes and also worried that someone might steal them from me? They are very happy to be indoors. I let them go in my backyard every morning for half hour to 45 minutes and I sit with them in my backyard just incase they jump the fence or climb the 🌳 tree. But they hardly ever jump the fence. When I tell them to go inside, they listen to me and go straight inside and they are very happy. They love watching David Attenborough on TV 📺 😀. They love watching the lions and tigers 🐅. I also play cat 🎶 music on RUclips when they go to bed 🛌. They both have their own room each. Coco and Hugo. Anyway, sending you my blessings from Australia 🇦🇺 😅🥂💕
