Thanks for the great comparison. Will you still be filming a video on the Nilfisk accessories? I'm keen to know the Nilfisk's capabilities when cleaning patios, decking, etc.
Nice vid Dave. Great machine those Nilfisks. My reason to buy theirs versus Karcher was purely on the internals, that aluminium motor stands up a lot better then the Karcher plastic motors. And Nilfisk get the prices right, no badge snobbery just solid kit. 👍
I’ve had 2 Karchers. Both failed just out of warranty (by a few weeks), and Karcher weren’t interested when I expressed my disappointment and queried why they’d failed. Replaced with a Nilfisk that’s been brilliant for the last 3 years.
Got a nilfisk 130 as I use it for car wash , seem good to use , just that the cable is a bit short, but the power is good for something that don’t weight that much and the sound is also good. The price is good too
I really enjoyed watching this review, I just bought a Nilfisk D140, to replace my Karcher K4, which had an annoyingly short hose, making for frustrating use, I’m just waiting for detailing season to begin to try out my new machine😊.
Good stuff - my experience is that Nilfisk are far better than Karcher - I bought a C110 8 years ago to replace a Karcher I'd had for maybe 4 years and it is great - my only reason to replace it now is for the more flexible hose on a reel which is much tidier
For car cleaning, I have never needed any for of 'power control'. I used to work as a valeter at a main dealership, preparing new cars, deep cleans on trade-ins for the pitch, and also service washes. We had a diesel powered hot water professional jetwasher, and if I needed less pressure i would just back the nozzle away from the vehicle surface a bit, why would I waste time going all the way back to the machine to turn it down ? All that is needed, is a spray pattern adjustment on the nozzle.
I bought a Nilfisk 140.4 Dynamic around 2.5yrs ago, used to clean my car 2/3 times a month or so, broke and fixed under warranty 1.5yrs in, then broke again last month out of warranty, electric motor fault which I’m now told is discontinued as it wasn’t exactly the best type, brush motor or something. Not happy to say the least. Now I have a voucher via extended insurance luckily, value of £269 and really reluctant to go back to a Nilfisk so I’m really reviewing and checking what electric motor they use. Loved the video.
Hi Rab sadly with all domestic pressure washers there will always the odd one or two that have problems as they are mass produced so it could be 1 in every 10,000 for example. Sadly we will never know. My p180 is built different. It's incredible. I got Ava p70 for a bit and seeing how that goes. So far so good
nice one dave my nilfisk titan extra is superb , had it going today before hosepipe ban happens for the money its brilliant used my stubby gun as well well happy thanks for your great videos ,
I'm running the spear and jackson 1800w washer, compact enough and it's held up so far, started my valeting journey few evenings after my day job, from the boot and passenger seat of an mx5 was tight squeeze with the reel and buckets but somehow managed 😂 will be looking into a new preasure washer when I'm doing it full time in the near future, thanks for the advice and your content David!
Thank you for the video Dave. Greatly appreciate your very clear explanation about the pros and cons of each machine. The 140-8 seems the perfect machine for the weekend warrior or hobbyist detailer. Keep up the good work mate. 👍
Ive had 3 karchers and all have died. Current K2 motor died on 2nd use. warranty claim was easy enough but its died again a few years later after very mild usage and being stored in a garage. So will be trying a nilfisk this time. Maybe something like a mid range E145.
seeing your great review on the nisfisk dave i bought a p130 looks the buisness to my karcher k2 good for the money and all i got to do is get a connector for my karcher hose so i can use my stubby gun rearly happy now
Nice one glad you like it. I've just got hold of 2 new karcher commercial machines for testing. The cheapest one is £250 which is a fraction of some domestic pressure washers so eager to see what happens
as the hose is on the real you cant keep the back plugged in wished there was a way that you could plug it in the back and leave the connector in and wind in and out
super helpful thank you, i'm looking at nilfisk 125 and 130 vs karcher k2, if there's a 10m hose available for the nilfisk then i think thats the one for me
For reference, if you are using a machine for a detailing business, you would need something from the Nilfisk professional range, not the P180, as it only comes with a consumer warranty. Great video though, the Core range are very popular.
Thank you for the great videos. I had a small karcher since 2004, can't even remember the model, the tiny handheld one, which served me well for many years, but with little use. It eventually died and I am looking for something more substantial. This core 140-8 looks great, and with the aluminium pump it sounds like it would last for a long time. But it is air-cooled. What's better in your experience? A water cooled plastic pump, or an air cooled metal pump? It seems that at this price, you can only have either one, but not both.
Thanks Dave! Happy with my 140-6, and the 8m hose can be bought separately. With the 140-8, how to control the pressure settings of you use a pressure gun instead of the Nilfisk trigger?
@epicautomotivedetailing lol can't wait that long mate! Got a patio to clean this bank holiday! I'm leaning towards the nilfisk but their customer service is putting me off. No existent
rearly good my nilfisk titan extra . had trouble getting a connecter to plug in so i can use my karcher hose , the one on stubby gun is to big to screw in the nilfisk .. so answer was to get a nilfisk connector for my stubby gun from auto brite direct... plus i can use the lance as well as my stubby gun and snow foam canon .. on ebay you can get 2 way hose connector one side karcher and one side nilfisk .... so my karcher hose is not wasted . you will find on amazon the karcher hose fittings are plug in at each end as for nilfisk 1 plug in and the other screw in .. thanks best wishes
ii have come to the conclusion the reason there light is pureley down to less weight in thus putting more quantity on trucks delivered equals less cost but its good to hear they have metal pumps instead of plastic maybe have better longevity but they need to start getting the acsesories in the big box stores too
@@epicautomotivedetailing good to know mate! Do i need to buy anything extra to pull from large bucket or all the stuff i need will come as a set with the machine?
Ive just seen the Excellent 150-9 xtra on sale for 10£ cheaper than the core 150 power control. Do tou have ab opinion? Is the extra meter and flexible hose of the core 150 worth it or the heavier 9 metre e150?
Always go for the highest pressure and best flow you can afford.... And longest hose, nothing worse than not being able to get from front to back ... Who says length doesn't matter?
Hi, love the videos, spent about 2 hours watching reviews between jobs. I'm looking for a washer to get the majority of mud of my bike at the mx track. I'm looking at getting the water from a container/bucket would the 140 be ideal. We also run the burgervan at the track so could possibly use water from the tap as that's connected to a water pump
so as long as the water is gravity fed in otherwords the water is above the washer the weight through the hose feeds down instead of just chucking a hose in a bucket then its fine.
I replace my old karcher k5 with lutian 704 for washing utv on our rental shop.. that chinese made seem more far high quality and lower price than karcher.. that thing is a beast for cleaning muds at 2500watt and 180bar.

So, I could get Core 130-6 (Car) for 135€, but 140-6 cost 199€. Is that really worth it without the extra hose length? It would cost over 40 euros more to have that 8m hose 🙁
@@epicautomotivedetailing yeah, but that is already 349€, so it's way out of my budget. Even that 199€ is more than I would like to pay, if I'm not getting a lot better machine, and I can't see much difference with 130-6 vs 140-6. Is there any?
Hmmm, interesting.
