lmao i thought the same at first too but after thinking about it might be because they were the top 7 in the last elimination. also (kinda out of topic i just suddenly wanted to yap 💔💔about it sorry) i think the final line up was pretty obvious/predictable considering that they were ALREADY the top 7 in both the second AND third elimination (even the first one. only one trainee was different). there was really no major twist which is honestly what i was kind of hoping for because there were other really talented trainees and also most of my picks got eliminated. only two of them made it into the final line up lol. and it seems like the popularity gap was pretty big too which is sad bc they all deserved so much and its sad that many trainees couldnt really get to shine. also the fact that they dont have a main vocal in the final group... truly heartbreaking 💔💔

I’ve been talking about it to anyone who will listen to me all day🤣 It’s so SO infuriating and HEARTBREAKING💔 That’s a good point about it being the same top 7 in the other assembly ceremonies though…I was seeing red all morning and didn’t really stop to think logically through it lol. I just feel like Jtbc knew who they wanted to win from the beginning and kind of pushed their agenda? Idk. I find it REALLY sus that singular members in the finals racked up MILLIONS of votes and yet less than 90k people are following their socials across the three largest platforms (twt, IG, and TikTok)🤨 The math just isn’t mathing imo😅 It seems like AT LEAST 1/3 of the people who obsessively voted for the lackluster picks that made it would be following their socials??? I see hardly any support for this group as a whole on socials (I see people supporting a specific few members but not the full lineup). The people supporting the full debut team as a whole are the outliers. Anyways, the bottom line is there were SO MANY incredibly talented trainees that truly deserved to be in the group and the final lineup instead is🥴 Only 2 of my picks made it as well!! I really don’t understand how fans think the group is going to thrive without a main vocal???🫠 And I am not usually the type of person to say negative things about others online, but I’m just so fed up with all these idiotic “fans” who voted for someone because of “visuals” and not based off of talent. There were so many trainees on that show who were WAY more deserving of debut….instead people voted for someone who literally wasn’t even ready or qualified to debut!! If the debut lineup was up to professionals who cared about talent and performance quality over looks there’s absolutely no way they would have made it. And this is totally just my personal preference, but they weren’t even one of the best looking ones on the show in my eyes!! so I REALLY don’t get why people voted that way🙄 Tbh I’m kinda torn at this point between being happy for the couple of my picks that made it or frustrated they’re going to be stuck in this group. The only thing making me feel a little less heartbroken for my other picks that didn’t make it is that hopefully they will end up someplace better where their talent will take the spotlight and won’t be drug down by others🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I don’t really see how anyone would be happy about their pick ending up a group without a main vocal….? This is just a lesson in why audition programs should not leave the lineup solely up to fans’ votes. I’m not saying ILAND was perfect either, but I did much prefer their methods of voting and stuff since it flipped back and forth between being up to the fans and up to the professional judges. That way of doing things leaves room for the judges to eliminate participants who clearly aren’t ready and shouldn’t really be an option and then fans are left to choose from a more talented/deserving pool. Plus I liked how at the end the fans decided on 6 members and then the judges got to “save” the 7th. Again, not saying it was perfect, but I do feel like it’s highly likely that method would have prevented the part of this scenario from happening where someone completely unqualified made it. I also want to be clear that although I do think one of the final lineup in P7 was the WORST choice possible, I’m not pumped about a couple others in the final lineup either. Not that I have anything against any of them as people, but if you’re looking at things from a talent/stage presence aspect they were not even close to the other trainees who unfortunately didn’t make it. Honestly, I feel like if people had really truly wanted what was *best* for their picks in the long run, a lot people would not have voted the way they did. It’s not fair to have someone debut before they are ready as it just sets them up for failure/ridicule ESPECIALLY when they are beating out others who clearly are ready to do so. If the judges would have been allowed to pick the final member in P7 like in ILAND I feel like a different choice would have been made, since I can’t imagine a group of industry professionals agreeing a group with no main vocal would be a smart decision🙃 Side note: WTF kind of name is freaking Close Your Eyes????? Whoever greenlit that name should be fired and blacklisted immediately🙃 I feel like it’s getting enough hate though that they might change it like how BLIT went to Evnne or how Riize had to change their fandom name. Side side note: Only picking out of the trainees who made it to the finals, my dream lineup would have been Kim Hyunwoo, Junseo, Yichen, Minwook, Yeojun, Sihun and Kang Hyunwoo. I also thought Youngseo had a heavenly voice. I did like Ma Jing Xiang so I was by no means mad that he made the final lineup, I do think he deserves to debut. I also wasn’t made about Kyoungbae. Kenshin…is complicated. He is a sweetie, and his smile is so innocent and pure it’s hard not to smile back, I just feel like he’s a little lacking in depth when he performs. It’s like he knows his smile is good so he just falls back on that and doesn’t really show much else. I’m not super upset Kenshin debuted, but I do think there were better choices strictly speaking about talent levels. There were a LOT of the other eliminated trainees who although they maybe weren’t in my “dream lineup” I would not have been upset at all about them debuting and would take them in a second over some of the ones that did make the debut team😅 (I really REALLY hope I don’t offend you with any of this, I’m not trying to throw shade at anyone personally I’m just speaking of how I view their talent levels NOT who they are individually as people🫶🏻)
