If this was the actual theme song for the rebooted Power Rangers movie, it would have probably done a lot better in the box office.

Agreed. The music in the 2017 film didn’t help it, not one bit. There was almost no connection for long term fans.

Actually that's not how song in movies works. The sound must follow the tone of the movie, that was a more simple and grounded history and to be different from the source material. In the end the movie the OST wasn't the greatest thing in the world, but it wasn't bad(personally I like the movie songs) and something like this epic cover wouldn't match the movie at all.

@@spidercrawler8816@spidercrawler8816 I don't believe your argument holds up, especially when you have the same movie we are speaking about shamelessly insert the 1995 MMPR Movie theme song in one of its scenes for no reason other than to hype the audience and for nostalgic reasons. If you want to speak about the tone being off, they did that to themselves.
