completely agree about the piano keys. I love it when the sound of the instruments, the breathing, the room itself are all there.
Geoff and Kathy looked long and hard for that piano. They used it for shendoah as well. They just loved the sound of it. Squeak and all. Geoff sets the mood like no other and finds ways to really match the mood to the lyrics. It's just beautiful
No they didn't. They sold the one from Shenandoah. They got this in December not long before he did Till Then Dec 29th.
The other was same type but bigger than this one.

Was black when they bought it in December. They painted it blue for Till Then. And repainted it black for this.
The old one sat in their storage forever til they finally got someone to take it not knowing they were going to need it again 😂.

I heard it described really well. The OG was the warning, Disturbed's version was the anger, PTX cover is the pleading and Geoff's version is the sadness and reflection afterwards. Every time I listen to this cover, I cry. It touches my soul, and I feel like I am seeing the light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. Absolutely amazing cover. Great reaction!!

I agree on the piano key squeaks. To me, it makes it feel more real (organic may be a better word). It feels like we are sitting in the room with him while this is being performed, not just listening to it through a music video.

Geoff's lowest note to date is a subharmonic B0 which is very lnear the end of a piano keyboard. But he regularly gets down to an E1 these days.
I am amazed at this gentleman’s range. He is as smooth as silk. I would love to see a duet with Geoff and Tim Foust!❤❤❤❤. Thank you for reviewing this video.

I’m here today for a kind of strange reason.🤔 I love the song but I do not like Geoffs cover. But somehow I would like to. Something sounds wrong to me and at the same time I’m sure that if something is wrong - it’s probably me with my musically untrained ears but not Geoff. I was looking for an opinion of a person who has great knowledge regarding music and singing. So here I am on your channel. Thanks for teaching me.
