      I would normally agree, but if you've seen the ending to these shows, they just give themselves a big pat on the back.

      You do know this is a fake show, right? How many new employees show up to their first day of work with a camera crew following them around their new workplace..? The show is fake and staged.

    • @joenick4346
      @joenick4346 29 days ago +3

      @bongfuhrer You are aware that at the beginning of every episode, they say "We're here documenting a reality series about 2 contestants vying for a new business" right? I wouldn't doubt if it were scripted though, but that's literally the disclaimer in every episode.

      Ditto. Notice she didn't have a wedding or boyfriend ring on, says a lot about her. I have things to say about her that would probably violate you-tube comment rules, and it was such a pleasure to see her break down, cry and get fired.

    • @Vins9393
      @Vins9393 Month ago +13

      Yeah it was the firm's policy. It always amazes me how big bosses ask for compromise, fairness and treating employees correctly when they ask supervisors to enforce their own policies. If you set a 30min lunch break for everyone (and everyone must restart their job because it is a chain of production), you must enforce it and every minute counts. It seems tyrannical but it is what the CEO asked :)

I always tried to find something about the customers/guests that I liked, and I would try to get them to smile. Yes, a relatively small percentage were nasty and couldn't be satisfied, but most people experienced the companies with the feeling of being treated like a VIP. When they smiled, I felt great.

    I spent 25+ years in customer service and it IS a myth that customers are always right. Not all customers are bad, there are very good ones. It's the Karens and Kevins that suck. As a matter of fact, they are usually in the wrong. They are rude, entitled and nasty. Customer service reps/retail clerks are treated like shit. It would be nice if the higher ups would have their backs once in a while. Your company will NOT ail by getting rid of these kinds of customers.

    Why does everybody just ignore the multiple cameras moving around videoing everything? Surely they must realise that they're part of some kind of set-up situation?? Why do the staff comment on controversial things so easily when they have the camera on them? The whole programme seems totally fake.

    • @cryptojunky6168
      @cryptojunky6168 Month ago

      To my understanding the video crew is introduced under a false pretext, like for instance, following the new worker who is supposedly part of a reintegration into the workforce project. Be that as it may, i totally agree that it seems far from realistic for any employee to behave like that when they know they're being filmed at their jobs so like pretty much anything else on TV, it wouldn't surprise me if this whole thing is scripted
