Hope! Your work is beautiful! My senior portrait average sale is over $1500 because I do in-person sales. I don’t know if you already do in-person ordering sessions with the option to upgrade the package for more photos, but if you are interested in giving clients an option for more, it’s something to consider!
What advice do you have for someone looking to price as a beginner? And how should you go about increasing your rates as you grow and gain more experience?
Hope, do you provide prints or photo books to your seniors or wedding clients or just digital files / digital gallery? I've been a Fantasy Art Portrait Photographer for many years and have only provided digital files (the clients seem to like this option). I just wonder if your Seniors and Wedding Clients ask for prints.
Wow thank you so much this was extremely educational for me in my work. Going to check out show it! Beautifully presented video as well! I've been learning a lot from you recently and I am really appreciating all your videos!
Wow 60 plus fully edited images. Why don’t you offer less images in your package (even 30 images are decent amount. They can even make an album with that many photos) and clients can purchase additional images if they would like. Honestly shocked to see you offer up to 3 locations and 5 outfit changes for less than $1k because I know you have been doing it for a long time.
It's just what works for me! I have always included digitals in my packages to separate myself from other photographers in the market + give my clients more options to share and do the marketing FOR me. At this point, I edit so quickly that it doesn't make a huge impact on my time to over-deliver extra digitals - but makes a huge impact on the client experience and word of mouth marketing. I have increased my pricing since this video and now charge over $1200!
Little late to the game but...when you say fully edited images what exactly do you mean? Do you mean sized and that's it, or do you mean sized and retouched?
Definitely helpful and inspiring! I have a Showit website too (just since Spring '21! so still learning everything!!), and I totally forgot about plus pages! I need to look into those for sharing senior experience info as well as for other aspects of my business! Thank you! Oh, and love your sweater too!!!
Thanks for sharing! Do you mind sharing what the payment schedule is for your clients, do they need to put 50% down to save a date on your calendar and the rest by the day of the session?
Your locations must be fairly close together to get to three places and 4 outfits into a 90 minute session. I must be doing something wrong. It takes me several hours for one session, one location and up to 3 outfits.
@@HopeTaylor Getting a good frame. Sometimes the subject moves at the last second, blinking, I don't like the expression = a lot of images, bad pose (forced looking) framing is off (my fault) lighting doesn't fire or is too hot, background issues (again my fault for not checking the frame before taking the shot) out here in Colorado, from one location to another could be an hour or more away.

Thanks so much! I personally don't have a desire to incorporate IPS, but that is INCREDIBLE for your business! Love it!
My senior sessions are about $150 right now. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

Where is the video about being a shoot and share photographer? I’d love to learn more about that !
Definitely not her strategy anymore. Her website now states “All packages include”
This is definitely still the strategy I use! What are you referring to?
This was so helpful and inspiring, thank you! :)
Thanks for watching, Brianna!

Absolutely love this idea!
I'm so glad!! Thanks for watching!
Thank You. Clear.
Hey Hope! Do you ever do cap & gown sessions (in the spring, of course)?
I am curious how you would price or set up someone who wants to do seasonal packages?
Amazing video and great marketing tips!

They are sized and retouched!
You’re just so smart and business clever. I’m wondering how you go about sharing preview on social media?
Thank you so much, Dien! I use AirDrop to send the photos to my phone and then share them to Instagram stories.

It is SO nice to have those plus sites as an option! And thank you!! :)
With this model, offering all digital files, do you have many clients that still order professional prints and/or albums?
I do! I use a program called CloudSpot to host my online galleries which allows me to have a full built-out print + product shop that self-fulfills.
Thanks for sharing! Do you mind sharing what the payment schedule is for your clients, do they need to put 50% down to save a date on your calendar and the rest by the day of the session?
I require 50% up front and 50% 2 weeks before the session. Thanks for watching!
@@HopeTaylor Thank you so much Hope!

The locations are typically within walking distance or a 10-15 min drive! What do you find is taking most of the time at your sessions?

Great advice! Thanks Ms. Taylor!
Thanks for being here!
This is amazing! Thank you!
