It's not classical, and it's not post-rock. It's most similar to a style you'd use for music for synchronization, except that it doesn't follow a specific set of scenes or timeline. Like a soundtrack or generic program music (generic in that sense of not following specific visual cues)
Pacific Coast Highway, the first single from the album Twice Above the Atlantic, is out now. This is going to be probably the most unique album I’ve ever made, featuring artists from across the world to tell the story of my year in the USA, and co-written with fellow composer Aiden Appleton. As with ‘Where the Earth Meets the Sky’, I wanted to tell the story with a compelling soundtrack, but this time I wanted it to be inspired by the music I was listening to whilst I was out there in 2016. So that means we’ve got a combination of Indie, Electronic, Folk, Pop and Orchestral rolled into one album. For fans of ‘epic’ music I know it’s not going to be exactly what you were expecting, but I hope it will still be as much of a fun, inspiring and emotional journey as it was for me, both experiencing these events and writing the music to illustrate them. Pacific Coast Highway tells the story of my journey down the West Coast from Seattle to San Francisco; five days of the most incredible coastal road I’ve ever seen, camping wherever we could find a good spot, and probably some of the happiest days of my life so far.
I love all of your music, it makes me feeling better and happyer every days! :D I loved a lot These Shores, i hope to listen again your voice singing something! can't wait for the next album
I struggle with getting around with people in the real world, and being the oddball is really isolating and lonely when nobody else is as odd as you, makes you feel really hopeless. But this makes me feel alive and hopeful that I'm going to be okay. @Marcus Warner thank you for making music like this, composers like you are what help me get through each day and keep my chin up.
This song is very suitable for the man who is addicted in his journey. And you might really enjoy this travel. Glad to see that you try different music style.
Thank you! And yes we were hoping to make it as such. Among the Giants was about the Redwoods; this is about the whole of the West Coast that we drove down.
@@MarcusWarnerMusic Glad to hear your response, Marcus! 'Among the giants' was the random youtube recommendation that led me to the discovery of your amazing musical channel. I still listen to it this day at work along with your other amazing musical masterpieces. Once again amazing work!👍 Looking forward to more amazing musical compositions on your channel in the near future.
Beautiful and perfect for daydreaming on a rainy day. And speaking of dreaming, after having been to concerts with Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer, I'd love to hear your music performed live someday in a beautiful concert hall...🤔
Highway 1, gorgeous landscape that it covers. If y’all ever get the chance, make a trek out of it. Love the soothing and ambient song. Perfect for this drive
I am a fan of epic Soundtracks and I love your music. No matter what genre I think you can pull it of. Thank you so very much. I'm loving this one and I am looking forward to what's to come. Thank you!🙏🏿👏🏿❤
Just wanted to say that I love every piece you make, as they're a true piece of art. They've helped put me at ease during the rough times of my depression, and always give me the feeling of wanting more! I hope you never lose your touch and motivation towards music, and I hope I'll always be around to hear everything you produce ( ^-^)
I absolutely loved every second of it! The cinematography is absolutely beautiful and captures the feeling of the music on point! Can't wait to hear more!
Wow! Love this. I spent a year in the US back in 2017 and even though I was living on the East Coast, this really resonated with me. Makes a lot of great memories return, thank you.
Lovely and soothing music as ever. The music you produce really is just upto and a personal go-to music in my pallette. Love the your work genuinely. Looking forward to your next work. ^_^
With all the Ocean references in your music, I’m starting to think you’re some kind of pirate in disguise… Nonetheless, I LOVE your music! My Dad and I would listen to it when I was learning how to drive. Thanks for everything Marcus!
Great to see you're back, Marcus, your music is as lovely as ever. I have a small request, though: last July RUclips automatically set many unlisted videos to private. Would you please revert this and put those back to unlisted, so we can keep listening to them? Thanks!
@@MarcusWarnerMusic Really! I saw that some of them were still available, that explains that. I believe This Is What It Feels Like is still privatized, but I understand that that video one is a bit different. Anyway thank you so much, you're a legend.
Mr. Marcus, look in to the Biblical Psalms, you will find special weight of inspiration there, but look with careful attention. So far music you’ve made, told me more about God. He appointed you to reveal His complexity and beauty. Sounds will not satisfy the soul, only Maker Himself.
does anyone know what genre is this?
iTunes put it under 'Classical', so search me
I suppose you could classify this as post-rock? maybe

Years ago I would consider this music to be New Age but today it is called Ambient.
I consider it cinematic, sounds like a track to a film

Wonderful 🎶 music and clip vidéo thank you 🎶👏👍
Perfect accompaniment to a drive through the redwoods. Hello from Northern California! Holly the Cafe Boat sent me 😊
Long time, no hear. Has that authentic Warner feel. Look forward to the film. I listen to the long play of the Scottish road trip one a good bit.
Our Evening Star is still alive! Glad to see and hear your new soundtrack!
The music fits the landscape and the forest scape. And omg is is pretty

Glad to see that you try different music style.
Marcus Warner is another prime example of "quality > quantity".
@Raven. the year wait was spent whittling it down to something useful haha
This music sounds as an enhanced version of 'Among the giants'.
As always amazing music composition.

Just this week I thought "is this man still making music" and here he is😭 the universe really does work in our favor
I felt like, I was travel , Beautiful music for long trip.
Highway 1, gorgeous landscape that it covers. If y’all ever get the chance, make a trek out of it. Love the soothing and ambient song. Perfect for this drive
I would love to hear it as it travels along with the other songs like "In the End" or "Octavia"
Nah.
In the End would only be good for the final song, when he's leaving. Otherwise, it's too sad and melancholy.
@@lightningwingdragon Well, I think you're right, but I'd still like a mix like that
Very interesting, really nice over there. It almost reminds me of what heaven must be like.
i always listen to your songs while driving . Nice songs keep it up😉👍
Probably the best music in this world, where your mind meet the true sense of nature with absolute soul.
