I’m all for giving F2P more but surely let’s start with fletching. If you’re F2P you can make your best armour, your best melee weapons, you can make your runes and cook/fish your best food. Give rangers something. Doesn’t have to be much, just up to steel arrows and willow bows would suffice. This decision always bothered me as you used to sit at the range shops just waiting for a decent price in your arrows.
So you want people to be able to train it f2p but once they eventually go members they are fucked over since it becomes harder to get Marks the higher level you have?
Fletching should NOT become f2p. Agility sounds like a much better choice since then you cant make bank as a f2p player. Bonds would no longer be a problem to get since fletching is a profitable skill not to mention that the bows go in and out of the game because high alch is there.
Fetching is barely any profit anymore. Used to be ~100gp profit per yew long and its only like 20-30(?) gp per bow. Which is not even 1k for an inv. I think killing cows might be a better moneymaker in f2p

So then I was surprised to find that the question was actually about making fletching f2p and Ash just diverted it to agility lol. Maybe there's more info in the full q&a about why. I know for me, I'm doing a bootleg ironman on f2p with my gf since I dont want to pay membership for multiple accounts and I felt that the GE removed a ton of the co-op experience. For us playing, it seems like arrows are impossible to reasonably get for a while. They are very expensive so having a high enough number to reasonably train and use range seems out of our reach. BUT if we could just grind fletching for a little bit - one of us makes arrow heads while the other gets feathers and sticks - I feel like the game could benefit. I'm not one for making updates just for the sake of a minority group like iron men though. I just think fletching is a more realistic skill to make F2P than agility because faster travel feels like a reasonable premium skill to me, but crafting range weaponry does not.

Pretty much all the bots can get past the classic randoms now. I'm all for some new random event mechanics as long as they're not too annoying to actual players.
I feel like the restricted ironman boom has really changed the psyche of a lot of the players in the community, seeing all these requests to have old dead things become interesting or viable in a way like the legends guild basement makes me sooooo unbelievably happy.
It's not 2003 anymore just get membership. Many ways you can do it. Get a bond. Ask your parents. Get a job. Fill out some surveys for online cash. Beg at GE. Whatever be creative. You free loaders want free stuff without working for it.

I'll be much more active again if Agility is made F2P. But I also understand why Fletching was suggested, since making your own Arrows would be nice to have. Yeah, we can just buy them but it would be better if we can make Addy (or at least Mithril) Arrows without shelling out coin. :)
Interestingly, the shadow warriors in the Legend's Guild dungeon have a disproportionately high access rate to the RDT for such a low level monster, making it useful for ironmen to get the dragon sq shield for ardy diaries, and dragonstones for glories. Other than that though, not much use
Honestly, the OSRS community and it's developers are so in tune with one another it's actually amazing. Compared to LoL where the Developers actively call the community useless trash, and to jump into a 747 Turbine.

Well obviously they're going to work on Warding before putting it to a poll; I'm actually excited to see what they do with it and I believe it will be beneficial for the game's health. I can agree with making Agility F2P. No Graceful for F2P though. And to give methods of higher-level F2P training, add additional paths to Draynor rooftop course, Varrock course, etc.

I’m leaning towards wc looking the best, but man would I love to have the option to keep it untrimmed when I get the next 99. No matter which one gets to 99 first. I really think they should poll this. I like the idea a lot.
well the thing is you can keep it untrimmed when you get the next 99, theres videos on youtube but essentially you just have to drop it get the second 99 and telegrab it (you would have to do this every time you got another 99).

I wish they do make agility f2p. The stamina running out quick was one of top reason why I stopped playing. It helps the overall enjoyment of other people while not giving f2p players everything.
Why dont they let there be a f2p have access to all member skill but let there be a level cap and no xp gain after hitting that cap. Like only allowing agility be trained till you can access the g.e agility shortcut and then its cap. Not exactly like that but it's an example.
lol i dont get it I have 85 mining in 8 days of playing this game when I started with level 1 mining. With mining I have to click around 100000 thousand times per level. I don't see Agility as a difficult thing to do.. Maybe because im part of the no life community.. :(
I would say make both agility and fletching f2p, but with fletching, there’s so many other things that tie into the skill from other skills that it would be hard to make just fletching f2p and not have to change any other p2p items to f2p as well from other skills.
Before asking if agility should be made f2p they should be asking should we make the skill tolerable to train. I love old school its amazing, however there are a few skills that completely ruin the experience of the game. Agility is and always has been the single skill that makes me want to log off the game and never return if I start to train it. Agility needs new methods to train it, they don't have to be the best xp/h but they have to make the skill bearable to train.

Agility kinda is already a f2p skill, you cannot train it in f2p, but it works in f2p. So it does make sense to add it in f2p.

Dude, drop your untrimmed cape on the floor, get your second 99 then tele grab your untrimmed cape from the floor, it stays untrimmed.
