K.G.F: Chapter 2 is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language period action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films. The second instalment in a two-part series, it serves as a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj. It follows the assassin Rocky, who after establishing himself as the kingpin of the Kolar Gold Fields, must retain his supremacy over adversaries and government officials, while also coming to terms with his past.
Produced on a budget of ₹100 crore (US$13 million), K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the most expensive Kannada film ever made. Neel retained the technicians from its predecessor with Bhuvan Gowda handling the cinematography and Ravi Basrur scoring the music for the soundtrack and the film's background. Dutt and Tandon joined the cast in early 2019, marking the former's Kannada film debut. Portions of the film were shot back-to-back with Chapter 1. Principal photography for the rest of the sequences commenced in March 2019, but was halted in February 2020 owing to the COVID-19 lockdown in India. Filming resumed five months later and was completed in December 2020. Locations included Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore and Kolar.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 was theatrically released in India on 14 April 2022 in Kannada, along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. It is also the first Kannada film to release in IMAX. The film received mixed reviews from critics but was generally considered an improvement over its predecessor. Neel's direction, the action sequences, cinematography and performances (particularly Yash) received praise, but the pace and writing attracted criticism. Besides recording the second highest-opening day in India, the film set domestic opening day records in Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam, and surpassed the lifetime gross of its predecessor in two days to become the highest-grossing Kannada film. With earnings of ₹1,204 crore (US$160 million) globally, K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time, and also the second highest-grossing film in India. A sequel is in development.

Rocky Said that Reena is his entertainment for purpose he didn't want to show other's that Reena is rocky's weakness. As we know they called rocky out of kgf using Reena .🙂
The story between Rocky and Reena was super first he told her entertainment because Rocky doesn't no that Reena is in love with Rocky so Rocky kept her with him thinking she may love him .. so he told first entertainment for her

Love story had an almost beautiful arc but it was not explored much. But whatever bits we got was beautiful & meaningful if observed carefully.

Because he knows that if he talks rubbish about Reena then Kamal will get provoked by this and soo he can kill Kamal and it'll be a reason for his dead.... If he would've killed Kamal without any reason then other three members will try to avoid him and with fear they won't work with him. And he does not wanted to show how much Reena means to him.... If he had shown his LOVE to him, they could've use Reena as his weak point.... That's what Adheera observed and he chose to kill Reena.... He thought if Reena is dead then Rocky is finished but, he already had an anger because he couldn't do anything to save his mother and now he became helpless to save Reena.... That's why his rage increased at peak.

In the end of chapter 1 Reena falls in love with Rokcy. But Rocky didn't know that. In chapter 2 Rocky kidnapped Reena and all those things happen in front of Reena. Thats why Reena confused. And Rocky wants Reena at any cost or any how with him,so Rocky don't care what the way it is to get Reena.

Even though he is the hero of this film doesn't mean he is a good & kind person. He is a criminal after all. So we shouldn't expect him to be kind & nice to everyone like any other movie heroes. The director created his character perfectly. It looks different when comparing to most other movie's main characters. So at some points in this movie his actions & words can be too arrogant or unacceptable which make sense for his character. Also he talked to her that way just to make others angry. He didn't mean any of that. He even take her with him just to keep her safe from those guys. After taking her to his place he didn't even touch her untill she confessed her love to him. You'll see how their relationship will grow as the movie goes...❤️

10:30 In kgf 1 Reena really likes rocky because she thinks he has a unique character among the people she had seen through out her life . But in kgf2 when Rocky forcefully bring her and called her as an entertainment she thinks Rocky is not that different from the other people and she gets angry. But when she heard the story of children about how great is he, she again start having feeling for him but she just kept it in her mind and not expressed it. in the final part of the movie when the woman says ''he has his mother to start him but there is no one to stop him'' she thinks it time for her to express her feeling for him and she shows it.
I think introducing rocky in this way, has importance through out the movie. Because if Reena shows her affection to Rocky right from the starting of the movie, the movie will move in a more romantic way and it may lose its trilling mass effect🙄🙄

Guys the main reason Rocky comes to that place in the beginning is to kill KAMAL as he was an obstacle between HIM AND REENA. So in order to disturb kamal's patience...... He speaks vulgurly to REENA...Then KAMAL reacts with anger and gets shot(ROCKY'S MISSION ACCOMPLISHED)...... By the way REENA didn't know who's guards were they who brought her forcefully, So she says "DON'T TOUCH ME".Since ROCKY speaks so VULGURLY ,,reena starts to hate ROCKY in the beginning soo much for some time.... And one more thing, REENA had known ROCKY only for some days in CHAPTER 1... No woman would accept a man without knowing him briefly ,isn't it. So, though she was in love with ROCKY in CHAPTER 1 ,,,,to know him properly she doesn't show her love towards him in entire first half of chap 2.But the next moment when she get to know ROCKY'S background, she proposes ROCKY in the same way he proposed her in CHAP 1. Clearly in the entire film she never said ROCKY "I HATE U" OR asked ROCKY to LEAVE HER ALONE. she just wanted to know everything about ROCKY, and was sad by his behaviour in the beginning that's it. I think some people couldn't UNDERSTAND this entire CONTENT.... So they didn't like it or hated it....... Well I UNDERSTOOD. DID U.
And of course he didn't know that reena loved him...... I forgot to mention this
Rocky called Reena Entertainment cuz she was his only weakness and nobody knew that except Andrew that Rocky was in love with her also Rocky was unaware of Reena's feelings for him. What I assumed was Rocky called her entertainment so that the others won't think of her as his weakness and use her against him to drag him down and destroy 'Rocky's KGF'.

Actually the nepotism dialogue is one of the main highlight of the film and people supported it because there is a big debate going on in india about nepotism of starkids taking over the film industry. That's why people unanimously liked this scene of nepotism.

Also as you can see later Desai's only weakness was his daughter so Rocky exploited it to put them in place like he did to bring him in the club during Petrol scene in Kgf ch-1. The thing is that Reena as you know from the first movie has a very independent and self esteemed personality. She wouldn't like anybody to force their will on her. She was brought here by force. And about Rocky, I didn't like that 'entertainment' too. Like you said 'douche'. But i think it was just a drama. He can't afford to show his weaknesses just at the beginning of the game

What you thought is right. But, just think bringing someone forcefully without even asking can hurt ones ego and that too Reena. It's obvious she has that kind of attitude towards Rocky. Other one about Rocky being that way towards Reena is bcoz being such a targeted person one cannot openly describe the feelings that he has for her. Enemies could use it as his weak point and hence this behaviour.
Rocky calling reena was one scene that broke the flow for me. It just doesn't fit to his character.
Rocky in first part was shown as someone who respects women.
As many people in the comments pointed out, I too believe it's was a move that was meant to downplay reena's importance to him so that they won't plot against him using her.
However, after multiple rewatches, I have realised that KGF doesn't bother explaining about a lot of stuff and are left for us to interpret.
And I now think this was a POWER play by rocky.
Rocky knew that the council won't agree easily to let him be the new leader, and would likely resist or bargain with him.
Rocky needed some way to establish authority. And by fear was the best way.
However, it he went about killing a member of the council directly, everyone will gather together and resist him cuz they'll feel more threatened because he's unreasonable.
So he intentionally called reena, entertainment knowing that'll trigger this dude, and have a valid reason and moral high ground to kill him.
This servers 2 purpose, eliminate an enemy who wanted to kill him since day 1, and also strike fear into others in council without appearing unreasonable and will continue the business relation at least for now. Everyone will feel the dude had it coming since he lost his cool and threatened Rocky.
I feel Rocky calculated everything perfectly.
This speculation is enforced by the fact that rocky apparently had his gun ready to fire, without making any motion of drawing it. So likely he already had it ready, and directly hot him to get the shock value!

That nepotism line was a direct reference to Bollywood nepotism. And, yes, she was waiting for him in the first movie. But she didn't expected him to kidnap her. She didn't liked it. Also, in the first movie, she was not in completely love with him. Although she waited for her, she also wanted to kill him at a point because she was feeling disrespected the way he approached her in front her men. So, what she did in this movie makes sense. It's just that, it requires common sense to understand it.

reena's story is absolutely in track you guys don' get it properly , in chapter one she got little fall for rocky but she used word "lover" just to disrespect kamal that not means she is absolutely in love with rocky, in chapter 2 rocky brings her to kgf from her home town without her consent , so she get angry at first
Reena loves Rocky but she barely knows who Rocky is except that he is strong and powerful and he loves her. She never saw Rocky after he left for KGF. Part 2 starts 4 days after killing Garuda. So Reena loves Rocky but she didnot express that to him yet. She is still reluctant to be with him because she knows nothing about Rocky's personality.
And Rocky says that she is entertainment for him. Actually he loves her too.. Before leaving for KGF, he leaves his mother's locket with Reena. That means he loves her a lot. But now he disrespects her in front of the partners because they shouldn't know that Reena is his weakness now. To protect her and also to protect his place in KGF, he sounds rude and ruthless. As Reena lives with Rocky in KGF, she gets to know everything about Rocky and then she tells him that she loves him.

Rocky will come infront of story teller that's how KGF 3 will end. The reporter is present now and collecting the details to prove his work. So, now there will be no more past story. Rocky wanted India and other countries to think he is dead. So he let America and Indonesia navy to know his arrival. In KGF 3 I think there will be no story what he have done in foreign because if he want to do anything in other country, it'll be slow progression. Director would never think to show the story in that way.

Hello there , first of all I want to thank you for your genuine reactions❤️. You guys are confused why Rocky had said those things like "entertainment" . It was the same for me. I was confused as well. But when I come across an interview I understood. The heroine of this movie herself explained that if rocky at that time showed affection in front of others she will become a weakness for Rocky. The business partners will take advantage of that. It will eventually bring down the Rocky. So in order to avoid that he acted like he didn't care and acted like a jerk (even though he is not) just because he loves her, to protect her.
