Amazing to see Issa pre-Insecure. She's worked so hard to get where she is right now, and her physical transformation is nothing short of admirable. Work ethic, discipline & creativity ~ she's got it all. She should go far in the TV business.

It took everything I had to stay calm and not indicate what happened, nor how badly I wanted to barf. I excused myself to the bathroom after ordering and washed my mouth out like crazy. It felt hard to eat after that. It was years ago but the memory still makes me shudder.
I was taking someone's order on the cavalier and I leaned in to hear the guy and his spit flew into my eye. All I could see was white. It was so shocking and disgusting but I also had to stay calm and wait and pretend like nothing happened.

I just love how this series portrays a black woman not only as the star of a show but in a positive light plus I also love how the characters in the show are so relatable unlike most mainstream shows and movies that only portray barbie and Kane looking characters. Well done Issae Rae!
I have loved all the work place scenes from the beginning- very real - not stereotypical and always compassionate- Today's episode, the job coach and the pre-interview- priceless.
