- ♡ Hey Team, I have a SECRET crochet design that I am working on so whilst I work on it lets chat about what it is really like living on 1 income as a family of 3 in the UK. Well done for all the hard work managing a budget and realising how much dedication it takes to make it a success. I spent more than 20 years as a stay at home mum, no family around for support and constant moving because of my husband's profession, so I really do understand what it takes to be financially responsible. One thing I found helpful was a yearly wall planner and on this I would put all the periodical bills on the due date, as well as car registration fees, services, etc., I found this helped a lot when some of these would come around the same time, it helped with the planning and the saving aspect. It is amazing how liberating it can be. I also made most of my own and my children's clothes, but these days clothes can be very inexpensive and fabric is now quite expensive, which makes me feel quite sad, having individual clothing is always great, as you already know. I was a stay home Mom for 8years, I provided childcare, it's total peace of mind and it wasn't in our plan but it worked
Hey Pam, I've looked into being a childminder and a few other options as well. It's funny how our motherhood makes so many changes but at the same time we can be so at peace with it. I hope and pray it all works out for us. 8 years from now I will be super glad we made this choice 💖
