Andy Thom was good at Celtic if a bit injury prone. He had legs like tree trunks maybe the result of East German training methods

Loving your content mate, keep em comnng. My only complaint is the small screen used to get around copyright? Think its possivle to use a smaller crop and have screen fill in more of the screen?

A very good review of east german football! To add a funny line: Jürgen Sparwasser once said, that if on his gravestone is written "Hamburg, 1974" everyone will know, who would be buried here. 😀 They also came close to qualify for Euro 1976 and World Cup 1978. They could and should have performed better.

As I write this in February 2025, roughly halfway through the 2. Bundesliga season, Magdeburg is a promotion contender.. That would be something if they went up.
