Maritime Museum, Colombo Fort

Maritime Museum in Colombo Fort is located in Chaitya Road a little down the road from Galle Buck Lighthouse. It is on the harbour premises and operated and maintained by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
It was originally a Dutch warehouse used to store various food stuffs and ship paraphernalia. The SLPA renovated the building and established the Maritime Museum in 2003.
