I appreciate you guys for putting these games on. Very helpful. Thanks.
Hey guys! I tried this game with my students. They couldn't stop asking to let them try over and over again. Even though I had to put flashcards of very simple phonics instead of high level vocabulary, they still managed to enjoy it practicing spelling. Once more, you the team of GWG rock big time!
Thanks again for sharing. We all win when students are happy :)
I also used flashcards and it worked out really well.
Thank you so much! Such a big help, really. My students loved it so much.
Really great game! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my sticky ball to class, but the kids still really loved it. Even kids that initially didn't want to participate were invested by the end. I teach predominantly Spanish speakers, so when kids were really struggling to spell, I heard them yelling out letter names in Spanish to the people writing, so next time I'll probably ask them to use the English names of letters so they get more speaking practice.
I would highly recommend this game to anyone else thinking of using it. 5/5 stars!
Thank you very much for watching and commenting.
@@GuysWithGamesESL where can i buy the sticky ball?
so many great games! love your channel! 😊💕🌻
Thank you for the compliment.
I love to watch your video, and have some questions :)
What grades do you recommend to do stickyball spelling?
What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of stickyball spelling?
I think this game works best with elementary school aged students.
Strengths: gets students excited about spelling. Energizes the class. Kinesthetic learning.
Weaknesses: some classrooms may not be suitable/safe. Some students less physically able to play.
Remember, these are just ideas. We trust that you teachers decide if the game is right for your class
That looks like so much fun
Awesome game, but I don't have a sticky ball. T_T
Where does one get sticky balls? The ones I got are not very sticky at all!
Juicy game, thanks fellas
one of my favorite games in class.
It really is fun, especially for the little ones. Thanks for watching and commenting, Matty.
thank you teacher, I have a question, where can I buy these sticky balls? Thank you!
They are easy to find in bookstores in Asia, but teachers in other countries could order them from AliExpress for cheap
That looks amazing but I don't get what will they do with a ball in the first game.
Can explain a bit more bc I am not a native ENGLISH speaker
The students need to throw the ball in the box, just like the second game. It allows someone who is slower in spelling to still have a chance to “win.”
What happens if both spell the word wrong?
You, the teacher, can tell the students that the spelling is wrong, and that they need to fix it before they are allowed to throw
