  • omg I was trying not to speak loudly because other people were in the house so bear with me ahhaha.
    oh and disclaimer !!!! I am not in any way related to the IB or an IB expert, I just have quite a bit of experience considering I have finished the course in two different schools, with 2 sisters doing it also. Hope this helped!

      t was a wonderful experience doing the IB but, frankly speaking you must take your work seriously and you must also study most of the time if you plan score well in IB. Apart from that, you will learn so many skills that your peers in the first year of college wouldn't know!

    so basically, im currently doing a year of art school anf after this year im either doing IB or A levels and idk which one i should do because they both have pros and cons and idk i rllly wanna get into a good university and i believe with IB u have better chances but im not quite sure as i never lived in the UK

    This is extremely helpful, thank you! One thing I am confused about the IB though - do we have to study all six subjects at a high level? I am very interested in humanties and arts subjects and I enjoy languages, sciences are okay for me but I really struggle with maths. I think I would prefer the IB because I get to study a range of subjects, and apparently it's also it's less exam based. Another question - is there an option to study performing or dance in the IB? Can we drop a science for maths for an arts/humanties subjects?

    • @user-ye3oq1zc3n
      @user-ye3oq1zc3n 8 лет назад +2

      you pick 3 subjects at a high level, and 3 more at a standard level. take maths studies if maths isn't a strong point for you

    Anyone knows how difficult is IB HL maths compared to Singaporean A’levels? Because I understand that the math in my country is harder than the western A’level and I’m deciding if I should go to a junior college or an international school in Singapore as maths is needed for both, yet in IB, I have to take more subjects and I’m afraid picking HL maths will pull down my IB grade. Taking Math at a HL is not really what I’m aiming for right now, i want something that’s way more challenging than secondary school maths yet not something that is not overly “heavy”.

    hey i just came across your video! I'm doing my IGCSES next year may/june and I'm honestly so confused about IB/A levels. A friend of mine who did the IB told ,me it was really difficult and stressful! I sometimes don't test well and I find that the quality of work I produce in class and during random assessments is actual really good. Any advice?

    • @SomEbodyisDERP
      @SomEbodyisDERP 6 лет назад +4

      nigel jonathan A levels are more exam centred than IGCSE's and the IB has a wide range of subjects to choose from so it's good for people doing humanities for eg. or are undecided

      Same. I got done with my o level and right now I’m confused on chossing a programme. Im planning on a degree in engineering so i really dont want to face any kind of cons from either A levels or IB.

    • @jufrisuhaimi8663
      @jufrisuhaimi8663 5 лет назад +3

      @@emankhan4000 to be honest i think a level would be a good choice for someone that already figure out what they want to further in degree level. While ib is for someone that might still have a doubt of what they want to be for career wise, because for ib students u have the opportunity to learn more subject and the subject combination also allow u to have more choices for ur degree. But this doesn't means ib is better than alevel, but for a level u will study deeper of the knowledge and is really focused on study while for ib it's more demanding in terms of studies, research assignment, and also cas (creative, action, service) so it kind of develop a student with more holistic skills.. so i suggest if u are sure to pursue engineering than a level will be a better choice especially if ure quite exam oriented.

      +Lf I did, and twice actually! I did it in May '15, got a 5, so retook it in November (I needed 43 for my uni) and finally got the 6 I needed! But yeah, it is hard. What worked for me is making many essay outlines because it helps you study for the history exam specifically rather than the history itself (which is useful only to a certain extent). Also pay attention in class!! ahahaha
