My son and I have just finished this issue and after all the frustration and hissy fits, when we saw the lights working for the first time it made it all worth while. Your videos are a god send. 😁
With all those wires in the car, surely some of them could be used to power the brake light, headlights, etc. Make the wires functional and reduce cost and reduce the birdsnest of wires.
I would have gave up by now. Lol. I had problems with mine right at the start with regards to the suspension. I found the sure sign a bit of a struggle to do, the screws weren't catching at the time. That's why I stopped building it. It looks good.

Great videos Wayne, very useful and informative. I was considering signing up for this but since watching these and doing some research reckon I'll give it a miss. I see it isn't already carpeted. And you are right the flux capacitor is poor. Even the board doesn't light up. I don't really want to be spending extra money on mods.
Oh man just finished my build, put the batteries in and nothing.... 🤬🤬🤬 gutted should have checked at this point. Now I don't even know where to start to get them to work now. But connecting those connectors onto the board was HELL!!
@@WorldofWayneUK just realised it was actually the on switch issue!! I have brake lights, interior lights and the door lights, no flux capacitor or the blue neon lights. However switch 3 does nothing, can you give me an idea what button does what??
Last month received issue 103... and guess what i havent done a build since issue 48. Since middle of Feb of this year i have been waiting for all the parts for issue 59. They sent me the mag but no parts. Since then countless emails telephone calls all to no avail. All i hear is its placed on order can only deliver when available, like 5 months on. The customer service is rubbish, had i known these problems before would never have bothered and wont in the future either.
Just completed this stage myself. It was a nightmare. I found plugging the numbered cables in order helped me followed by the power connector. Now I got to find a new home for the car as it won't fit where it has been stored over the past year. Ahhhhhhhh
I must have missed it, but in an early issue you said to go by the colors of four of the wires. I cannot tell if you put the wires in the slots by color or by the number on the black printed ends. If they are switched, nineteen does not go into the nineteen slot and so on. What should I do?
Hey Wayne great videos, I'm at this stage now (the end of 2020!!!) but there's a few issues...not sure you encountered them...when pressing button no.2, the speedometer on top of dash board is not working, tried to reverse the wire 18 in the circuit as in 'Horlicks issues 59 video' but still not working...I would say it's faulty as in your case...also the steering rod keeps coming out from the fork when turning the wheels...so a screw has to be removed from under the floor as in Horlicks video, I'm sure I'll find more imperfections.
I’m at the point in this issue where the four DM screws have to be screwed in to hold down the car interior piece to the frame. I can’t get the screws to line up correctly. Any tips for me? I’d appreciate it! Thanks!
No. It seems to work fine. I did have a muck around with the steering mechanism way back when we installed the steering rack so I don't know if that helped,
I'm trying this now and I can't get the dash to screw in, nothing underneath blocking it and I've tried different DM screws incase that was issue and the steering column is about two MM away from the rack and I'm this far behind because it took eaglemoss 6 months to send me the right wire from issue 47
Erm so noticed as I mentioned on Facebook yesterday my dials and plutonium gauges don't work and notice that yours do at this point so as worked when tested them seperately not sure where this leaves me to be honest?
Please Wayne. Please. Please please. Do a video on this. I want to add so many LEDs to the roof buttons and inside. As well as how you did your plutonium dial. But I cant find any good videos on this anywhere.
I just finished this stage, I was nervous testing the lights, and yep nothing worked. I was unplugging and plugging again, tried different batteries, still nothing. Then...... turns out when the switch is set to on, it's actually off. So when I switched it off then tried the buttons, it all worked, woohoo!!!!
I just finished this issue and I thought about trying the already connected LEDs. Unfortunately, after putting 3 new AAA batteries and flipping the switch on, nothing. Obviously, it seems something is wrong. What should I do?
Check the wires are in the right way round to the control board. They only work in one direction. Ribbon cable plugged all the way in and finally power is going to the board.
So, I found my mistake: somehow, I installed the on-off switch in the wrong position. Doh! Now, all lights inside he car seem to be working as in your video. I guess the non-functioning switches on the console will be controlling something to be added later. One question though: on videos of the completed DeLorean, the flux capacitor is flashing but right now, there is just a steady blue light. Is this normal? I know I could switch to one of your latest video to find out but I prefer to watch as I go...
Hello there !! great job but I'm just at this point and no lights what can I do !!!!! just give up I'm really sad but I thought it will happen ...I check all ...really disappointed , I put the right battery ...regards Franzetti from Belgium
Your company needs to learn how to use wires for the headlights and the tail lights and the lights inside of the car also. If you remember, that’s the way they used it on back to the future 1,2 and 3 and all these other different movies. Even the ghost buster car and whatever else that you guys are selling that are vehicles.
I’m having trouble right now trying to get the car. Interior pice to fit onto the frame base. Any suggestions? It so difficult to line up the four DM screws to where they fit into the frame. Frustrating.
The biggest issues are normally the rainbow coloured flat cable is in the wrong way, not pushed in enough or the buttons on the 1-6 switch are bent. They should click when you press them. Also check the other connections are in the right way round. They are all directional so need to be in the right way.
Thank you so much for answering my question. Well, the only thing is different in my Delorean, is the rainbow cable connector doesn't have those "R" and "L" marks on it, but I was carefully enough to connect this cable, based on the colors order I saw in your video. I also checked the buttons and they seem to be fine, and so the 23 connectors. I don't know what else to do.
I've not heard this lol. All the connectors are numbered. I don't have two 23's lol. My advice is put it in any slot that is spare as they should all be filled.

Match numbers to the points on the board. I can't remember too much to be honest
I love how he’s struggling to get that second tiny black wire out from behind the passenger seat while he’s LITERALLY got tweezers in his hand lmao

Mine was faulty too. I ended up cutting off the led and replacing it with a small red led i aimed to do it anyway do I can block the light bleed.

I actually think I didn’t use them screws. I found longer ones from another build and it helped
I just finished this issue. I must say, I think I enjoyed issue 48 more! 🤪😳
If you play this video back at 1/2 speed, he sounds like he's had way too much Kraken! LOL
Wayne it's Wayne.
Did you have problems making the wheels turn left and right once you connected the steering wheel. it's don't turn fully.
No. It seems to work fine. I did have a muck around with the steering mechanism way back when we installed the steering rack so I don't know if that helped,
Wow I both love and hate the intricate details with the wiring/circuitry

Yep. If the others light then the problem is with either the circuit board or the switch. Does the switch click when you press it?
yep mine dont work either
Hey Wayne, great build by the way. Can I just ask what is the circuit board at the front of the car?
That's my mod board that controls all the led and optic fibre mods I have done myself 👍
@@WorldofWayneUK wish we got a video about that . Trying to figure how to do fiber as well
Please Wayne. Please. Please please. Do a video on this. I want to add so many LEDs to the roof buttons and inside. As well as how you did your plutonium dial. But I cant find any good videos on this anywhere.
Total badass mate..Where do you get those wires with the connectors for the interior from?
I'm confused sorry. All the wires come with the build?
i hope the ecto wiring is a lot simpler with enough slack to make connections cause more slack is what was needed here
definitely. I will bear that in mind when we start the wiring too. I have no idea where the control board is going to go in the Ecto-1 yet though

Check the connections going into the circuit board. They are directional. If you have them in back to front they won't work.
Your company needs to learn how to use wires for the headlights and the tail lights and the lights inside of the car also. If you remember, that’s the way they used it on back to the future 1,2 and 3 and all these other different movies. It's easier to loosely fix the wire holder bits with a screw then put the wires in and tighten the screws
So, I finally just did this issue and holy hell, installing the full thing into the base of the car is a freakin' nightmare!
I’m having trouble right now trying to get the car. Interior pice to fit onto the frame base. Any suggestions? It so difficult to line up the four DM screws to where they fit into the frame. Frustrating.
I did try changing the screws. But still the same.
in the movie did the delorean have a ton of wires showing on the inside?
Oh yes
@@WorldofWayneUK okay, i didnt kno if that was accurate or not
