Agreed. Unfortunately this was back in the day when people were still fans of funny guy punchlines, so they ended up saying Donnie won. Grinda murked him, I said it when this battle first dropped.
I came to this battle as Donnie's fan, and to his other fans: don't act like sect people. Give credit to Grinda when credit is due. He exposed Donnie as a one trick pony, it was sad to watch. Donnie's jokes sounded corny and flat compared to Grinda's structures. His recited style seemed artificial compared to Grinda's old school flava.
This was Grinda's best performance ever, waaay better than expected. I guess you do rise to the level of competition. All three verses are AHAT classics, they should be sculpted in stone, swear to God... and "malato this mayate" is the best bar in AHAT history: period. Grinda: 3-0. Sorry, Donnie ;)
