I’m on old T-Mobile one unlimited plan, do I need to pay extra to use the 5G on my 2023 x7? Does the car automatically connects to my phone number and use my existing unlimited network? Thank you!
Yeah it did… I find it to be less effective tbh. Though I’d rather see them allow you to use your phone as a hotspot to run all connected services inside the system
2024 xm label , att eSIM activated but the WiFi hotpot and RUclips do it work. Everything says connected eSIM all good etc but it seems that att has no idea what they’re doing and RUclips does not work
I have had many issues with my eSIM. Went through all the steps and I always have to call T-Mobile or BMW, both continue to refer me to the other company. So frustrating! The first time T-Mobile informed me that I needed a business number specifically dedicated for my eSIM. Called BMW they said I didn’t. I am still looking for help setting it up. I also lost a phone line due to this issue and I am beyond ticked off!
@@dr.margaretbrown2976 hahah funny enough, it DOESN’T work with Business phone plans… frankly i don’t see a reason to not allow all phone plans on, but I’m not a multimillion dollar company i guess :P
yes... there is a backend error on ID8 vehicles with connected drive at the moment... BMW NA is working tirelessly to get this remedied. shouldn't be more than another 24 hours max.
do you have TMobile as your provider? If so go to the my BMW App, lower right you'll see head and shoulders, that's your profile tab, hit that and scroll down to a tile that says Setup Personal eSIM. that'll walk you through every step needed from that point on.
can you show how to connect bmw sim reader to a car? my canadian g70 doesnt have this option. i wonder why

as i understand it it's the same as getting a data plan for an ipad, so it would be a date plan on top of your tmobile unlimited plan.
Any idea how to access the ICCID and such info of the eSim, so I can activate by phone?
Did this take over personal hotspot? Is there still ways to sign up for standalone hotspot in iDrive 8.5?

Is ATT now available for e sim now? (On September 2024 X5 delivery)
YUP!

@@BMWofFW so, seriously what is the fix? What can I do to get it connected?
Have you gotten the offline error when setting up the 760 tv?

The QR code just takes me to Bmw website doesn’t allow me to finish setup any ideas?

Did you ever resolve this? I’m having same issue.
