Natural Bridges Trail, Angels Camp 8-5-23 Are DJI drones amphibious?

So, lesson learned on this outing...
Just because you are in line-of-sight with the drone does NOT mean it will fly without crashing in a cave!
I'm still not sure what caused the abrupt fall of my drone into the waters below, but I am thankful I was able to swim into the cave and dive down to retrieve it. It took me four attempts to retrieve it from the dark, cool waters. I was lucky the guy that was in the cave at the time swam over to the approximate area that it fell in at to help guide me, and also was extremely lucky that when it did hit the cave wall, it turned on the landing gear lights, and had also landed upside down so I was able to see it in the 15' + depth it had fallen to.
It was still powered on when I retrieved it, so I turned it off, removed the battery and let it dry in the sunlight on the rocks, before heading back to our hotel. I let it sit on top of the AC unit while we went to a concert that evening, and decided to power it up the following day.
And what do you know? It powered up and had no issues, although the battery that was in it at time never would take a charge again.
And where did I decide to fly it the next day? Over a huge lake! LoL!
