@@eight16garage I would if I can buy a Stingray at msrp 2lt this year. Other than that, I have been in the tuner scene for decades for SHOW cars. I keep getting flak from channels that don't want you to know where you can buy all or most of this carbon for dirt cheap. Love the video. I wanted to run something by you. I’m planning on getting a single performance part upgrade for my C8 HTC. I’m trying to figure which part would give me the most bang for the buck in terms of performance #’s and improved sound. I’m leaning towards a pair of headers, possibly Kooks. I already the factory performance exhaust on my car. Any comments?
Appreciate you watching! I'm also gonna apologize in advance for the long response. I'll be honest, I just don't know for sure at this point as I've seen and read so many different claims. This is part of why I wanted to try these parts for myself and get honest, no bs numbers. I haven't installed or tested any kind of performance part on either one of my C8's aside from axle back exhausts. However I didn't do any kind of before and after comparisons other than sound because I did them strictly for a louder exhaust sound. If I were to guess though, I would say for what you are looking for (performance gains + sound) I would guess a pair of headers would give you a little louder exhaust sound while gaining more power than a pair of cats. However I think if you just did a pair of cats, the exhaust sound would be louder overall than just doing a pair of headers but, doubt you will gain as much power. I've also seen claims that axle backs will gain some power as well while giving you louder exhaust but seems like those numbers are kinda all over the place as to how much you really gain power wise. Paragon Performance has some good videos comparing different bolt on parts and they are pretty knowledgeable. They install a lot of parts and dyno test a lot as well so they have probably compiled a lot of different data. They may be someone to reach out to for advice. CSP in PA is probably a good resource as well. I specifically remember a video of them dyno testing a pair of Kooks headers and cats on a C8. If I remember correctly they weren't thrilled with the results of using the Kooks headers without the Kooks cats. Not to deter you from Kooks headers just an fyi. LMR is probably another good source as they put out some good informational content for the C8 too. It's really hard to say when it comes to performance gains on this car and what's the best bang for the buck performance wise. None of it is cheap and it doesn't seem like there is one specific bolt on part that's the go to for a performance gain. There's lots of people that make these claims that this part did this or gained this but don't show proof. If it were me and I was only gonna do one part to get a little louder sound and the most power gain, I'd be looking at headers.
Thanks for your honest feedback. I appreciate it. I’m like you on getting headers for that single part since I’m looking at improving sound a bit and more on gaining performance. I do not want to upgrade the cats though. Thanks also for suggesting some resources to look at.
I like the car
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Those door sills look really good
Thank you! Hides that silver and goes with the rest of the interior now!
Love the color of the car!
Thanks!
Ppf over the door sill plate is ingenious, new CF looks good. But I don’t thing I’ve seen anyone with a high ram on a C8, that’s a pretty unit 👍🏻
Thanks buddy, hopefully no CEL after install 🤞
Dont forget the start button, they even have a trim for the outer ring.Big yes to headers of course ARH 1 7/8
I will have to look into the start button and trim ring. I will keep the ARH's in mind when the time comes. Thanks for watching!
Hair dryer on the sticky tape until its warm is the trick for maximum stick. Awesome car.
Thanks buddy!

Is the tuning there to take the RPM out a little more to see if that helps with the manifold?
Unfortunately not yet that I've heard. However I do have a sneaking suspicion something is coming within the next several months though. 🤞
“Rapid Blue” is a mustang color!
You're thinking of Grabber Blue, two different colors.Rapid Blue is a little lighter of the two.
Nope, grabber blue is the mustang version and yes it’s close in color
