I think its obvious they are setting up a legit superhero team for future seasons. You can already tell the motives of each character by now. The Deep, Starlight and Queen Maeve clearly doesn't agree with the way Homelander does things, whilst Stormfront, & Black Noir do. A-Train's character is still developing but it starting to seem like he just wants to be a hero who is loved by everyone. Expect a R rated Civil War in the not so distant future between The Deep, Starlight, Queen Maeve & A-Train VS Stormfront, Black Noir & Homelander
A-Train's motivation has always been about money -- I think he's far more likely to fight for a chance to get back into The Seven (especially now that Shockwave is no longer a factor) than team up with The Boys to bring down his sole source of income

hah, homelander would blast them into meat soup, alone. No way there will be avangers kind of team vs team shit .. would ruin whole series .. the boys team is not about fighting homelander its about them trying not to get nuked and play with what they have .. that's what gives suspense its the heart of this TV show and whole rewrite of the comic and thats what makes it interesting .. superheroes fighting other superheroes is boring (apart small skirmishes just to enjoy CGI ofc )
It would be a great fall in the quality of the series if the writers transformed it into yet another cliché hero film.
@@gilberto2340 Sorry mate look like its gonna play that way. Look at the new finale promo. A-Train joined the Boys and Im guessing the deep is gonna follow. The Boys have taken the piss out of every element of your standard superhero genre so why wouldn't they brutalise civil war? If it's executed right it won't be 'cringey' atall. So far the Boys have written emmy worthy episodes so I would trust them with any storyline tbh

I'm totally with Supes and Vought in this show. Power is everything! They will either let them rule the world, or they will do it anyway. Lamplighter was a weakling. So he burned a couple of kids. Boo hoo! I wonder who is the Supe with the head blowing power. And how he does it. He snaps his fingers, he targets them, what? That's the coolest superpower so far. That girl in the mental facility could do something like that, but whoever is doing it is working for Vaught for years.

Got's was a lot worse due to the characters killed. Walking Dead pikes scene was pretty mad in a similar way.
