Stell can go higher than that. But I understand your point, sometimes, even with a simple song, if didn't practiced well, singer tend to miss even some of the basic techniques such as when to breath, which to use, chest, head, mix etc. (though I'm not saying he did) It is also true that his voice was a bit different here than his usual, there was a part of the song where I thought his voice has different texture, which I thought added some color to the performance (maybe because I am just biased). Also, my guess would be that this was recorded around their preparation for their world tour so maybe the little to no rest took a toll on his voice cause of their busy schedules, with practices and all. But nevertheless, his version of Sir Elton John's Circle of Life is still one of the best out there considering the amount of versions I've seen for years now.

But also, I love this version of Circle of Life as well, because it works! It's like a pop rock-ish version of the song--and pop IS Stell's current niche. And like you said, he had great control over it. I guess he tends to develop that seeing as most boy groups perform live onstage whenever they can, so it's more of a basic requirement for Stell, and people don't understand the gravity of how important it is.
It might be because during this time it was also the busiest days in preparation for their WYAT tour... So he might have had lesser time practicing the song or getting used to the key he should've sung... Nevertheless it was a great performance...🥰🥰🥰🥰
I think that the key that Stell used was not really raised so that Stephanie and Janella's voice would not be overpowered because we all know how high a stell ajero's voice is... I don't know anything about music, that's just my opinion😊♥️♥️

You can actually notice the difference in his performances last year compared to what he was doing before during the early years of SB19.

I hope you don't hesitate critiquing Stell's rendition for I also believe the two girls were better, though he did it good too...but the one thing I am amazed about is I never saw Stell's very early talent/skill videos showcasing his voice but were, as far as I have seen, only dancing...which may mean that this talent company have done a great job developing these guys to a level where they are now...great reaction from you...
