In creo parametric version 9, In assemblies the reference pattern option is grayed out,is there any solution for this

I used Reference Pattern all the time time in Creo 9. I suspect there’s an issue where the component isn’t actually assembled to an instance of a pattern. If you can’t figure out the problem, I suggest opening a ticket with PTC Tech Support.

Hi I noticed your nifty horizontal divider lines in the Model tree...how do you add these?

what if the parent pattern that the components are referencing gets deleted? i have a part where i need to delete a hole pattern. and id rather just create a single extrude with all the holes so i can externally ref an irregular mounting holes rather than measure like 10 different dimensions and pattern holes... and if possible id rather just redefine those components individually to affix to the new holes and so i dont blow up by extensive ballooning in my drw. and yet deleting the pattern deletes all the subsequent components. cant you break the pattern and then redefine individually?

Why not use a Point Pattern?

is there a way to turn off the seed instance of the reference pattern?

If the preview dot is available, you can turn it off.

@@CADPLMGuy It has an orange dot on the seed instance, but not a black dot like the rest, I guess that means no?

@@frontdesk7908 The color scheme has changed so many times over the last few versions I can't answer based on that. If you can click on the dot and it changes, then you can disable it.
