What a gem of a man and an actor .. He gave so much to the world in his generosity with his humanistic views of human rights , and of course his wonderful acting . He is strong , masculine , yet tender and romantic . I cannot get over that he died so young at the age of 50 while playing his beloved game of golf .. I am heartbroken ... Rest in peace dear Conrad

On top of Connie's huge, versatile talent and stunning looks, he possessed great moral courage in his resistance to the Nazis. At one point the Gestapo arrested him, threw him in prison and beat him up. Thankfully he was released and left Germany for good.

He was a pioneer.he helped get many German actors and actresses out of nazi Germany..they asked him why play nazi's he said;I saw the evil from the beginning..I wanted to show people how they really were..god bless and rest you mr verite
