Venris and the SFO team are magicians. I've been dying for this update to drop.
Kislev really got some great buffs to them. Boris is now an Anti-Chaos powerhouse. This is a pretty good update.

To me boris should have always been like...the doomslayer. Hanging out in the chaos wastes, unconcerned with politics, and only focused on killing chaos for his bear God.
Kislev as a faction is cool, but the individual leaders all just feel like slightly different coats of paint on the same thing. Making them all individual and have different playstyles would have been awesome.
Not sure if you're interested as im a amateur modder (so I can't make very fancy vfx stuff), but if you do like custom lores of magic (regarding when you talked about the SFO Hag one) I did make one for Be'lakor in my End Times Chaos Harbingers trait mod that gives him the Lore of the Dark Master from 6th Edition (sorta, it's based on the rules from that / shadows over albion thing). I'll release a lvl 30 version of the trait mod close to SFO's next update. I also have a End Times Incarnate mod as analogue to that mod.
I'm still angry GW retconned Hag Mothers. It's utterly idiotic. If they wanted to make Ostankya unique, then they could've made her the Ur-Hag, eldest and most powerful that presides over the other Hag Mothers while aforementioned Hag Mothers are the eldest members of the Hags and the Wise Women that are essentially in charge of the Ungols.
Same still being mad that they sidelined the whole Gospodar X Ungol conflict in favor of the Ice Court X Orthodoxy one. Why not have both of them be a thing and even add in a conflict between the Orthodoxy and the Hags? But nope...
Imho I think they avoided the gospodar ungol conflict to avoid issues with real life politics.
The gospodars are 100% the bad ones, and they are trying to market kislev as the good guys of tww3.
Addressing the issue would have cost them either a ton of money by doing the good thing and losing popularity in countries where ethnic tensions exist and people dont like to see themselves as the bad ones so they would boycott. Or somehow butchering the lore and making the traditional and reliable playerbase angry (once more).
And in general, most of the appeal of kislev comes from their stance as "the bulwark against chaos" and being the good guys against impossible odds. Having them be colonist and racist would tank their popularity. They are the face of tww3 after all.

@@dirisheyy4829 Sorry but it's fantasy. And the whole conflict between Gospodars and Ungols is much more than that. Not to mention that anyone associating real-life politics with something in a fantasy setting as similar is equally retarded.
Having something like that adds character to the good guys (though there are no pure good guys in Warhammer Fantasy and everyone is to some degree racist to each other...even to others of their own racial and cultural group).
So I see nothing wrong here. Hell, Araby is one of the good guys and they have slavery. However they aren't evil when compared to the likes of DElfs and Chorfs due to them having slave rights for their slaves and essentially are nice to them (not to mention that the punishment for any cruelty towards slaves in Araby is having the person experience every single act of cruelty they inflicted on their slaves but cranked up to 11).
So again. I see absolutely nothing wrong. Especially that the whole Gospodar X Ungol conflict was known around the real world and nobody had issues with it.
The Ice Court Vs Orthodox does not even make sense to me, the Ice Court doesn't seem to be in conflict with the Orthodox it seems it's all on Kustaltin not liking Katarina, Ice Court is not religious. Having two different cultures is far more interesting, plus Ungols Cossacks astedic was really cool

@@Insideoutcest Just did a Katarin campaign just to get Boris and I understand lol. Really not a fan of this faction's mechanics. Probably my least favorite campaign between WH2 and 3.
Just use mod to unlock him, then you can unsub it later. I honestly didn't have much time to sink my teeth in a long campaign in wh3 so mod definitely helps me a lot on this.

Thanks SFO Team! If possible, it would be awesome to see Boris get just a little more love in my opinion, that hopefully makes sense of course. I would like bonuses that extend to the horse units, so he can rock a full mixed cav army. And since he's basically out on an expedition, it'll be cool to see him have a mechanic similar to either Markus, or like Eltharion with Praag given to him and elite units to work up to.
Looks good. I am just waiting for Old World Campaign to be updated as well
It would be nice for Boris to have a dilemma where he controls Praag at the start but can sell it for money or keep it. It would give him either a cash injections for the harder factions or somewhere to fall back if he fails up north
It would also mean that as an npc, he would be easier to stay alive for confederation

Hey @TheGreatBookofGrudges please make such a video about the Dwarves in SFO too, as a lot of changes are actually quite controversial among the community.
Love your posts and videos. It would be fun if you could post what is missing for the chaos dwarves. Because I love them but feel they lack units and characters. I think there should be units like, crossbow, heavy red axe, siege giant, mechanical bull with units on it, some new atelier with an octopus. would have been cool if there were any hashut monsters. Then that they would have the trains that could transpot armies and lastly that they would have their own hashut corruptions.

"MOD" - my disappointment is boundless and my day is ruined...
Honestly, when it drops, just play SFO. Besides balancing stuff here and there to be more fun, it also basically adds MSG's to the mix, bringing more flavor to everything, be it more or less forgotten faction, unit or build. Everything gets more spicy in their own kind of taste, random examples being Nurgle getting even more sticky and stinky, while Slaanesh getting more ridiculously fast and savage.
I still don't like or use SFO. To basic for me.
