@@hotaruchan1 By the end of the game you cure them, so they make it out OK. FF4 has a lot of fake out deaths like that. Yang and Edge both also have scenes where they "sacrifice" themselves only to turn up again much later, still alive.

That was on purpose! She watched this live on stream (basically at the exact moment the English trailer went live), and wanted everybody watching to be able to hear it easily. Not the most ideal setup for RUclips, but people like to watch these so we just threw it up even though it's not perfect.
