It's not that big a deal, zoning in this game is BY FAR the weakest it's been compared to every other nrs game after mk9. This is a fighting game, it's gonna have some zoners 🤷
I wish they would expand on the counterhit mechanism for other characters too. For most characters, landing a counter hit means nothing at all. Every other fighting game has counter hits that meaningfully change the moves.

At 14:30, is it because he used Ferra just before he was hit and when she jumped on her back he just flat-out recovered while being comboed and reverse-comboed?! Seems like Ferra jumping on you is an ambush, does that mean you can use it if you already commited on something to just get out of being comboed on punish? Seems like some sort of weird Stryker Grenade situation going on where you can use it to "be safe".
Looks inaccessible and complex for no reason, unlike Nolan and Peacemaker. Hopefully he’s a lot more simple in practice because I’m not liking the weird choices.
