Awesome video! I've been waiting for good wind to try my 671 out for max speed. I can hit 31kts on a kite with it but stoked to try top speed on a wing. Thanks for the video!
I finally got a windy enough day and rode my 671with the 421 stabilizer on my 111cm mast. Using my 6m ozone wasp. I hit 22.1 knots. Felt like that was as fast as the hand wing would let me go. I easily hit 30 knots with a kite and that foil. I was also surprised at how hard it was to go up wind on that small foil and big wing. Hoping to try again on a smaller 4m or 5m wing. Also I also found that with my Axis hps 930 I can hit 21.4 knots. It's surping that my 671 wing was just a little faster than my normal wing foil. Hope to test the 671 some more to see if I can get a better top speed. I was exhausted after 30mins of riding that 671. So much work compared to a normal wing foil. Cheers!
Here at Sherman Island we hit 25kts all the time, and a few of the better guys are hitting 30 on the wing. Billy Ackerman w/fone says he has hit his top speed on his Eagle 790. I've ridden the Eagle 790 but have gone faster on the Escape 630. The Phantom 740 and Mirage 800 are all pretty close. Yes, it takes a little bit bigger wing, I ride the DLABS, they have plenty of power. Just got the North Modes which are supposed to be faster. We shall see. I find it is imperative to match the foil to the wing - when not quite balanced you can always notice one or the other being the limiting factor. Wings have a ton of impact on top speed as does the foil.
for speed on SAB try the Balz pro 720 the old one I was getting 25 knots with Gen 1 wings 5m Fone swing in 20-25 knots pretty flat water . The Balz still has bite and some glide was easy to ride but not a great pumping wing. It worked best with the S400. If you still want to go much faster with a more modern foil the Gofoil TKR80 (Tow Kite Race ) can do 30 knots it has decent glide and pump for a small wing using KD Maui 13" tail wing.
Too many choices to try... One thing I underestimate is how much difference makes a smaller tail such as s376, way looser on all axis, have to "re-learn" gybing/tacking, probably 2 sessions at least to register the difference but it makes w1000 faster and way more efficient when pumping. It needs some speed to be semistable
Thanks! You won't get much more speed from going from W1000 to W740 but control/confidence will be better on W740 on high speeds. I got 85cm project Cedrus mast.

Escape 630 is the fastet I´ve tried. Almost 29 kts in 2 sec and 27 kts consistently
@@zurraspa1 i have escape 530 with Kite, but my topspeed is 24 Knots
Thanks
Good job thanks👌

why do not use straps ? could be easier to control ?
I'll put the straps when I can "dance" on the board (freely switching feet both sides), until then it's just asking for some nasty ankle injury.
Cool video! I was actually thinking about the 740 to go with the 1000.
PS: what Cedrus mast size did you get?

Your wing is 50,000 sq cm, not 500.
That makes absolutely 0 sense... 50000 sq cm = 5m^2. That would mean this wing is 2.5m by 2m in surface area...
Very bad - offshore....
