If a company is newly listed what should be the calculation of the beta? Should we use pure play method ? Bcoz there isn't much return data to find out the correlation b/w the firm and the market. Pls help

1. Can we say company having higher D/E ratio will have high beta value ?
2. Why we used after tax and not used before tax ? i.e. 1+(1-T)(D/E)

+MJ Al Averaging might not be a good idea if the capital structures are different.
You may pick the most representative one.
