I am laughing at how Tina explains to the cabbie what happened to her in South America and how she is trying to stop the wedding. Andrea's line delivery is HILARIOUS! Tina RULES!!
Tina was some icon. Out of my top 10 oltl moments she has 3. Going over the iguazu falls, this when she runs in to stop the wedding & her saying I tina take thee cord...er I mean max. Paul Rauch the producer was said to be a misogynist pig , he was the producer of oltl & pretty much layed out the stories took over the whole show , hired a music dept to do the score( which was awesome) but I thought he actually wrote the female characters very tough ballsy & they were more the leads than the men. Erika loved him. Robin strasser hated him & quit the show until he was gone. So who knows . I thought oltl in the 80s during his time was the golden era. He also came up with some wild stories. I actually liked eterna. Gabrielle is stunning . It was an interesting choice to hire an actress with a british accent to play an argentinean. Her father, dante had a reason for it that he sent her away to school in london for a few years & she developed an english accent. I guess fiona was so good they did not care she had an English accent.
Tina coming back was corny but even if you felt like Annie from misery "not my misery" you cried inside and was happy to have her back in the show, back on the script. Those were the days. Soap operas became addictive because they were genuinely good. I watched Ryan's Hope,Loving, All my children, One life to live and General Hospital. Gave up general hospital eventually as the script was getting less exciting and I had to cut down,lol. I'm not sure how I found the time. : /
Can we assume Gabrielle gave Tina the money to get back to the States? I guess Cord took all the belongings she took to Argentina back with him or had them shipped when he thought she died. Tina's ccredit cards wouldn't be active if she "died". Damn. I have always read too much into storylines.
This was good tv. I too wanted to cry because I had school the days this episode aired. I never thought I would see it for myself. All I can say was thank god for Tina. Without her they bored me. The wedding break up! Hallelujah!
@shrinefilms1 Yeah this is one of the first things of OLTL I saw. It was on their weddings tape. I remember this and "I take thee...Cord...I mean Max." very well. From then on I was fascinated by AE's Tina.
Cord's vows are beautifully written! It was brave of OLTL to show an interfaith marriage ceremony. Many shows are too scared. Dorian looks so sad. Is this after Jon got together with Cassie? Was this right before Dorian left? It's strange seeing her sitting there casually chatting with Tom, when I remember her convoluted relationship with Joe Riley.
Yes, I agree. Kate was a Jewish girl and a wonderful person and companion for Cord. I loved this romance (over him with Tina). There was something so compelling about it . . . it was built on trust but had this romance to it that was real and sexy as well.
@dereka79 I know, the cabbie is pretty funny, too. So AWESOME how Tina leaves the cabbie surrounded by police sirens! I think it is safe to say that this is the most famous sequence on OLTL. Even more than Karen on the witness stand. So many people know about this scene.

Dorian is sitting next to Tom Dennison. His daughter is Mari Lynne Dennison sitting on his other side. She has long blond hair who was a follower of Mitch Laurence's cult.
I loved the Kate and Cord romance! They were such a great couple . . . there was something genuine about them (unlike the relationship Cord had with Tina)! Cord continued to stay with Kate even after Tina's attempts to break them up.
@petercox9 I think Kate and Cord has great chemistry. A relationship built on trust and was friendship first. I loved watching it back in 1987. I wish it had lasted longer and it was more interesting and dynamic . . . Cord being with Kate (rather than with Tina). Marcia Cross was an excellent actress!

With Kate they had a loving, trusting relationship. For the record when Tina did return at this wedding Cord didn't go breaking up with Kate and run back to her. That alone says a lot . . . .doesn't it?
