    Here’s another tip: If you can, use a red or dark colored cloth . The blood won’t be as apparent and thus less likely to scare the child.

    Just found your channel! I’m going to start a babysitting club soon, so I’ve been preparing myself with you! I’m hoping that I will also take classes, because you are a big help, but I will feel more prepared with a class as well!

      Ugh, so scary right!
      First off, stay calm, because you are a Babysitter Boss and got this.
      In those situations, call the parent or guardian immediately. If it is something life threating, like a bad allergic reaction or seizure, call 911 first and then the parent. Comfort and protect the child until an adult arrives on the scene.
      Know if you ever feel you can't handle a situation, ALWAYS reach out to an adult that can help.

    Hey babysitters boss I think if the kid there babysitting is old enough that for the next episode u should do an episode of the kid getting there period bc I remember I was babysitting a girl who I've been babysitting for a while and she comes to me she was saying that her stomach hurt but I thought she just had to go to the bathroom so when she did she screamed so I ran to the door and she runs up to me and when I look down she had blood on her pants so she was crying so I get her cleaned up change her clothes all that so I call the parents tell them what happened then I asked if they want me to explain what was going on and they said yes so I did and she told me she was scared and gave me a hug bc (I was babysitting her for about a couple of years so we grew a sister bond) I was like an older sister to her so I hugged her back and told her that she was going to be ok so then I gave her a heating pad I carry in my babysitting bag for this reason bc she was getting cramps and then we watched a movie until her parents got home mind u I’m almost 15 she was 10 and the parents were so impressed on how I handled the situation

    What if the kid I'm babysitting doesn't respect me?

    • @russty2925
      @russty2925 4 месяца назад

      if you are younger you should problem ask the parent to get a older babysitter so that way they will probably respect the older baby sitter better than you. no offense. but if your older like 17-19 then idk

      If they aren’t listening to you try the three strike rule. When they do something bad or naughty give them a strike or a warning. When they get to three out then in timeout for one minute per year of age. Stay firm. If they leave timeout don’t talk to them or make unnecessary eye contact. Keep bringing them back to the spot until they stay. When the time is up tell them why they were put in timeout and ask for an apology. A real apology. Nothing sarcastic or negative. Then ask if they are ready to start over and have some fun! You got this! Fee free to ask anymore questions you have!

      I always recommend taking a babysitting class! They will go over behavior management techniques you can use on the job, which is a huge help.
      For right now, I would recommend the diversion trick to get their attention focused on something. Ask their guardian what their favorite toy, game, or snack is before they head out. Even if you have been babysitting for the family for awhile, it might have changed since the last time you were there.
      Always know, if you ever feel too overwhelmed you can always call for back up. Which is why it is great make sure you have the parents' numbers and other back up adults you trust written down.

      @@BabysitterBoss thank you so much I’m sure this will be a big help because I’m going to babysit my friends little brother for leadership hours. he never really behaves and he’s always throwing stuff, so this will be a huge help.
