The T-28 was my first ArrowsRC planes about 5 years ago. I skipped the Bearcat, I think because I had never heard of it as a WWII plane. After you made the comment that you thought it reminded you as the T-28. I agreed and surmised that the Bearcat must’ve been a Naval trainer. After you did this 2nd video I started thinking- “T” is for “Trainer”, “F” is for “Fighter”. The Bearcat was a fighter that came out too late in WWII to see much action. It’s 20% lighter than the Hellcat, and the designers took things they liked from a captured FW-190 and incorporated those into the plane. Top speed was 450 mph. Your videos are always a big help, but now they’ve been educational. Thanks Nate. Thanks for making me think:
Bearcat, last of the WW2 Grumman Fighters was used by other countries even after the war. Also, the Blue Angels used them for a few years so that says something for the aircraft. Nice plane guys.

I really like Arrows RC for the price. Nice looking F8F, and they're not a warbird you see modeled a lot. Looks like a decent flyer, if a tiny bit twitchy. This would be a good candidate for an AS3X receiver or the LemonRx stabilized receiver.
For a warbird that size with retracts & flaps yeah I knew it wasn't a RTF version Still a pretty good deal for less than $200 I love Warbirds I'm seriously thinking about getting a T 28 as my second RC plane Cool warbird guys 🔥👍✌️
Another quality informative video guys. My 50mm Arrows Viper is on Pre Order thru your link. Can't wait to get my first Arrows product. The quality seems to be there and I need a small jet to fit where I fly.
Look, if you are looking at an airplane of this caliber, you should not be new to the hobby and already know it doesn't come with a transmitter. If you are looking for this as a first plane and are upset that it doesn't come with a radio, well... There is a reason. My Habu came with a radio, it is a beginner jet. My mini P51 and mini F4U came with radios, they are beginner airplanes. Do not apologize for the lack of someone's understanding of the hobby. The 2 of you do a great job of breaking down the basics and have gone over the PNP, BNF, and RTF levels of completion. Always going to be someone who is unhappy.

I think just the number of BNF planes makes me think receiver is an integral part of the plane. The moment you click and see PNP anyone reasonable would look it up I expect so no big deal and it does seem like a great value! My one grumble is calling things jets that only look like jets but have propellers. :P For a first warbird how much easier or more difficult would it be than the Trojan, particularly because of the gear? I kind of feel like I made things harder for myself starting with the Carbon Cub rather than the Aeroscout with some strange bounces on takeoff.
The Bearcat had the full canopy vs the Hellcat and the Wildcat, love your video. This is something to checkout on RUclips, Blue Angels Return to Their Roots: F8F Bearcat.
Hi-ho all.✨🤗✨ Regarding Nate's 'remark' concerning "Dynam" and "Durafly", would you say that, for all the 'newbies' just getting into this WONDERFUL hobby of RC FLYING of mostly PLANES, try to avoid disapointment and to get the biggest bang-for-your-buck, stay away from the afore mentioned product lines? I, my self, have purchased some of these planes, and they WERE fun to fly around, but like y'all have said in the past regarding the way these are made, not all that great for how much some of them can cost. In other words, I totally agree with your feeling, and I try to steer my people towards planes that I, personally, feel would be a much better value.
Its best never to mention price anyways because these videos become Archived and as all you should know prices change over time. If you are interested in this plane or any plane, do your homework and shop around. Flite Test doesn't post prices eather. Getting upset doesn't matter if you see a 2 year old video and see the price has changed. BNF and RTF are two totally different deals. Unless it is a starter plane, it's not going to come with Transmitter and battery. Thats always been part of the hobby. I remember a day when all you got was a box of balsa wood, some plastic pieces and that was IT, everything else was separate. A ready to fly Balsa plane can easily run $800- $900, that still doesn't include fuel eather. The hobby has come a long way fellas.
Ive flown several 3s planes with 40amp esc on a 2200 4s battery with no over heating issue,s on the motor or esc so its really subjective and a persone needs to check it for over heating in like a minute flight test 1st to see if you can get away with running a 4s battery!
That is just wrong. You haven’t heard of it because it came very late in the war. It was intended to replace the Hellcat. It should have outperformed the Corsair and the Hellcat but hey, I wasn’t there.
@@daviddou1408 My thoughts exactly. If you wanted to take the entire population of the planet into account, most people have never heard of a P-51 Mustang or Supermarine Spitfire. But if you are talking about airplane people, especially warbird fans, the statement that "most people have never heard of a Bearcat" is simply going to be incorrect, all day, every day.
1. Tailwind takeoffs = nicht gute. 2. You're tail-happy - get a little weight in the nose. 3. Although very light and durable, it is a warbird - throttle on landing, please. 4. This airplane will fly brilliantly with a Lemon RC Stabilized Receiver. Plus, they're cheap. Gyros are, by the largest margin, the best thing to happen to RC in 40 years.
Actually the Bearcat and the hellcat are very similar. I guess you could say the cat family. Let's be fair too those of us that have heard of these old planes are aging ourselves. Probably lol
Also wildcat. The only one different is the tigercat it's a twin heavy fighter. The others are very similar. I guess it's all the cats you didn't know. Lol
The same company that made the p51d mini mustang has a mini p-47 out right now y'all need to get it and can you do a review on it if y'all get it please
Anyone getting their panties in a bunch because you don't mention the price that would include batteries etc needs to go sit down and pee while we call the "Whambulance."
I don't think there is a plane you don.t enjoy Nate hi Abby! If this is your day job you've both got it made. And just think, you never nave to retire cause this is the hobby you retire for! Ralphie
RC manufacturers like horizon and Armma need to come up with different terminology. Ready to run means you have everything you need in the box no matter how you look at it. They need to come up with a new definition for their assembled completed cars that still require batteries and a charger. It's actually pretty shady
That little “spinner” is called a prop nut. Yes it’s tail heavy, warbirds don’t like being tail heavy, nose heavy plane will always fly! Also never take off with the wind. Always into the wind.
Hey Saylors, I have the Hobby Zone RTF Champ. I’m a newbie with Air RC but would like to purchase more. What would be the best bang for my buck for a BNF Transmitter? Keep up the great videos 👊🏻
If you want ease of use, and longevity of support, we say Slektrum. I recommend the NX series. Anything from the NX6 and up will work great! Buy within your budget of course, and if this is helpful at all, please consider purchasing through the link in the description box of this video - ruclips.net/video/pIFICrUG8JY/видео.html
taking about durafly, can you do a review on the durafly bf109 E? its one of the only bf109’s on the market and it’s a quite not well known version of the 109. BUT BEWARE! its a scale plane so i heard it has quite some torque on take off! (like the real plane)
Oh definitely not. Derafly and HobbyKing are worse than most off brand China companies. Their customer service is non existent and I'd never spend a penny of our hard earned money on them.. We did not always feel this way about them, but would never want our amazing viewers to waste money there. Happy Flying my friend 👍😁😎⚓
@@TheRcSaylors I disagree, I own the hobbyking 750mm Corsair and the durafly 1.1m bf109 and both fly super well and look very good. It’s a good company but quality control sadly just isn’t the best.
guys you can buy a CHEAP SMALL RC DROPPING UNIT. I have one on my Mini 2 drone. You hook it on there to the aircraft then you put what you want to drop in your case it would be little tiny nerf bombs. I know you fly the airplane and when you are close to where Abby could take her pictures you hit the button and they fall off when you can play bomb target
Simply a GREAT warbird ! Now..., do you know how much this beauty costs in UK ( England ) ..... ? Let me tell you : GBP 188,59 ..... In USD ..... 262 ...... That sucks ...... I presume .... :-( :-(
Willing to bet money there are more people that didn't know about this bird than people that do. I think that is the issue with the world today. Everyone believes that others think the way they do, or should. We have numbers backing up what we stated, but you are entitled to your opinion just the same 👍😁😎⚓
Nate & Abby:. *33.333% of RUclips viewers are going to be mad about something in any given video. You provide honest, unbiased product reviews, instruction, introduction to concepts, a curriculum based on your channel would prepare a person with the vaguest notion that models of vehicles, be they airplanes, quadcopters, cars, boats can be controlled remotely, could spend a few hundred hours watching nothing but rc saylors videos, once his vision clears, he will emerge a smart, savy, Christian consumer of everything RC, in addition with a fair notion of RUclips politics, many hours of laughs, and a desire for RCSaylors stickers for his soon to be purchased rc hangar, motorpool & marina. If the third of the audience chooses NOT TO PAY ATTENTION when you introduce a product as PNP, ARF and assume the sub-$200 price point you are mentioning includes batteries, controllers, personal instruction by you and a manufacturer representative on speed dial to rush them any part they may break, then that is on them. For your own sanity please disregard those who have the temerity to complain if they choose not to listen carefully to that which you say. Your channel provides real and valuable information that in many cases one would have to pay for (ie consumer reports) so thank you, please continue, you are not misleading anyone people need to learn to pay attention. Ive flown several 3s planes with 40amp esc on a 2200 4s battery with no over heating issue,s on the motor or esc so its really subjective and a persone needs to check it for over heating in like a minute flight test 1st to see if you can get away with running a 4s battery!
I actually never heard of the bearcat I think the corsair out shined it which is why
That is just wrong. You haven’t heard of it because it came very late in the war. It was intended to replace the Hellcat. It should have outperformed the Corsair and the Hellcat but hey, I wasn’t there.
Oh, the ignorance...
Who has never heard of a bearcat? Bizarre title.
Maybe you have, but most have not 🤔👍😁😎⚓
@@TheRcSaylors Your'e basing that assumption on what? Did you conduct a survey, or are you putting forth an opinion as a fact, maybe?
Who never heard of it ?
Cool
Actually the Bearcat and the hellcat are very similar. I guess you could say the cat family. Let's be fair too those of us that have heard of these old planes are aging ourselves. Probably lol
Lol, maybe! That's pretty cool though! I can definitely see all of the similarities! 👍😎⚓
As alway cool stuff and good flying thanks. You guys alway make me want to expand my collection
Yes and don’t forget the.G F7 Tiger Cat
Your right I did forget the tigercat
Also wildcat. The only one different is the tigercat it's a twin heavy fighter. The others are very similar. I guess it's all the cats you didn't know. Lol
How fast is it?
150kph in a straight line (about 90mph)
Little expo probly fly awsome I'm buy-in thru your link
Thanks Eric, you rock! You’ll love this bird! 👍😎⚓️
That does look like a hellcat. Probably the bear cats is hellcats big brother or some thing.
Thats exactly what it was. All built by the grumman ironworks.
👍👊✈🙂⚓
wow so here i was soo surprised it was under $200 for all that plane, I guess people always expect too much for very lil lol
I think most people who ever shopped for any RC devices knows most do not come with a battery or controller!
The same company that made the p51d mini mustang has a mini p-47 out right now y'all need to get it and can you do a review on it if y'all get it please
Nice find. Just ordered one with 3 batteries. Only $105.00 after using 1950 banggood points. Thanks.
Holy cow do you think it's still there
Rtf please
It's my favorite war bird, so price & how it's equipped (BNF or PNP) is not a consideration for me 😜
That little “spinner” is called a prop nut.
Thanks Nate...your alright I don't care what Abby's says
taking about durafly, can you do a review on the durafly bf109 E? its one of the only bf109’s on the market and it’s a quite not well known version of the 109. BUT BEWARE! its a scale plane so i heard it has quite some torque on take off!
It's a preorder supposedly available in July... But which July? 2025? Been down that street before.
They are just on backorder. I spoke with them and they said in about two weeks they will be back in stock 👍😁😎⚓
guys you can buy a CHEAP SMALL RC DROPPING UNIT.
I have one on my Mini 2 drone. You hook it on there to the aircraft then you put what you want to drop in your case it would be little tiny nerf bombs.
I know you fly the airplane and when you are close to where Abby could take her pictures you hit the button and they fall off when you can play bomb target
Hobbyzone just discontinued this model. So disappointing
Simply a GREAT warbird !
Now..., do you know how much this beauty costs in UK ( England ) ..... ?
Let me tell you : GBP 188,59 .....
In USD ..... 262 ......
That sucks ...... I presume ....
:-( :-(
Where are you seeing this for sale at that price in the UK? Cheers

Happy flying !
Also these planes fly much better on a 3200 3s battery all the way forward
We all know about it except you i guess, airframe availability parts are rarely in stock
(*88.6% of all statistics are made up on the spot!)
I found rtf one for 280€
