Chungha and her team are genius performers. They calculated the performance so carefully to make sure that it could build up the mood of the audience throughout the period of time and then blow up right at the end. It's just flawless!
I really like Chungha, but her voice is not strong enough to compete on immortal songs. As a preformer, she definitely is on another level but you have to be able to deliver vocally as well. Dancing and having aesthetically pleasing visuals like explosions isn't enough 😫. Hopefully as she gets older, her voice will become stronger and less airy.

I don't think this was a good move for her so early in her career. Maybe if she sang a ballad, her voice would have stood out more 😅.

The singing ability of some of the contestants is higher than ever, but the producers have added an entertainment show element to the mix. Its not just a singing competition, like it once was. Now some of the contestants are there purely to provide entertainment, without regard to how well they can sing, and some performances have a circus-like atmosphere. The audience rates the overall performance, not just singing ability. On some occasions, a performer who is not the best singer may win. I personally don't like the direction the show has gone. I preferred the show when it was almost a pure singing competition. However, I've come to accept the fact that the show probably had to evolve in order to survive and prosper. Otherwise, the show would eventually become stale, and probably fade away. A broad entertainment show can attract a much larger audience than a singing competition.
Just realised that Chungha romanization should be Cheong-Ha... wtf. Anyway I wish they did more with the coreo those neon sticks could be used way better.
