Lmao so they have no idea why people are lashing out at insurance? lmao i'd like to say the i was denied emergency insurance at the hospital after getting my jaw broken in an assault. i was making 16.80 an hour. i was denied because they said i made "too much money." i live in california so idk how that even makes sense with rent being over priced as well as everything else i this state. if i knew i was going to be 40k in debt for getting emergency surgery, i wouldn't have even gotten surgery in the first place. now im stuck with a bill that i might never be able to pay off for a situation that was not even my fault. These people, politicians, or whatever, refuse to listen. Now us, the people, are knocking down the door, searching for answers because we got tired of asking nicely. And they dont understand. HA! Looks like they just dont like the taste of their own medicine.
Stop paying it, let it go to debt collections, negotiate it down for a settlement of around half, and get on a payment plan. In the meantime, while you dodge them as they try to collect payment try to save up 5K to use for negotiation as a lump sum down payment, and then payment plan for remainder. It might take 6 months or a year or 2 for them to threaten to sue for payment, they might not even ever get to that point, as they assess which debtors are worth going after based on credit history, since they can deduce if you have assets or good credit and are likely to be able to pay if a judge orders it. it just depends. If they do though that is when you respond or go to court and work out a pre-trial settlement with the creditor so there is no judgement on your credit history. Might be able to negotiate 25K total, offer the 5K lump sum, then like 400 a month for 4 years. Obviously if you can afford to, set up a separate savings account and throw extra money in there anytime you can over those 4 years, and if it ever reaches being the level of remainder amount owed, just call them and say you’d like to pay off remaining balance and want a letter in writing saying it has been paid off. Your credit will take a hit, but depending on the laws in your state, it will fall of your record after a certain number of years, and at only 40K would be better than bankruptcy.
And the CEO that made 10 million would surely get full coverage for everything in his company benefit package, no denied claims, yet 10 million isn't "making too much". The double standard is insufferable.
Because people will use an example of someone that was corrupt like this, to justify the murder or people out of pure jealousy. i'd like to say the i was denied emergency insurance at the hospital after getting my jaw broken in an assault. i was making 16.80 an hour. i was denied because they said i made "too much money." i live in california so idk how that even makes sense with rent being over priced as well as everything else i this state. if i knew i was going to be 40k in debt for getting emergency surgery, i wouldn't have even gotten surgery in the first place. now im stuck with a bill that i might never be able to pay off for a situation that was not even my fault.
These people, politicians, or whatever, refuse to listen. Now us, the people, are knocking down the door, searching for answers because we got tired of asking nicely. And they dont understand. HA! Looks like they just dont like the taste of their own medicine.
I guess now you have an example of how to appeal the situation.!
