Hey Anthony, ran the same workout today but had to cut 15 easy minutes due to time constraints (will pick them up tomorrow), the long TPace intervals are killer!
Best to you for hitting sub 4! I have a feeling that'll be my goal on my second marathon, assuming this one goes well enough to make me want more!

Oh my goodness. They sure were! I was like "Is this a typo?" haha
      Good job getting it done!
      What's your goal this year?

Have your previous weeks' speed workouts gradually built you up to what sounded like a really intense planned session? Considering you need to run at about a 9:10 pace for a 4-hour marathon, 8:00 to 8:15 per mile is way faster than what a threshold pace would be. I think there may be confusion on threshold pace vs what a true speed session pace would be. An 8:15 per mile pace would be true speed work, not a threshold workout. And in my understanding, you want to do that fast pace for a shorter period of time, not 10 minutes. Rather than 10 minutes 4 times, maybe at most 5 minutes maybe for 8 times. I did my weekly speed session this morning, and the max I push it is about half a mile at a time at my quick pace. But take my input with a grain of salt, as I'm just your average Joe runner.

Hey Joe!! I appreciate the feedback and advice(even if it is worth a grain of salt. Lol) As far as I know these numbers are correct. I had them double checked. Maybe the names of these are different from what you are used to. *shrug*. I will definitely keep everyone updated. haha

I ran with SRLA in 2022 (5 hours 28 minutes) and in 2023 (5 hours 41 minutes). I’m running with SRLA again and I’m training to get under 5 hours this year. I ran 130 miles last month, ran 54 so far in this month (shaping it up for at least a hundred. And once March begins so will my taper. This Sunday is the SRLA Friendship Run, it’s 18.6 miles. I’ll be aiming to hold an 11:00-11:30 minute pace the entire time. It’ll be a big confidence booster. I’m anxious but in a good way. See how much my training has paid off so far

Yo that’s awesome!!! Keep up the good work. I’ll be there on Sunday with the “running them in crew”. Maybe I’ll see you. Cheering you on!
