    I lived in London for almost 5 years, took trips on my days off, (Berlin in 48hrs!!) didn't bother me if I met people, however the people I met I always enjoyed talking and spontaneously hanging out/dinners/drinks.
    Stayed in a hostel in Poland once everyone at the hostel did the night out, one of many great memories.
    Don't let it get you down, enjoy every moment, it's ok to have days where you just take it easy.
    And at the end of the day, we can always return home.
    Safe travels.

    Yes! You are so right!
    Solo travel is liberating, empowering, adventurous and a powerful experience...and sometimes it's not easy. Plenty of highs and lows but so much growth! Of course sometimes it's good to slow the travel down. Lots of decisions to make, things to take care of. Pulling into a town on a Sunday when it's raining and getting to a hostel after dark in a foreign country can be a challenge. Every time you meet these challenges, you grow from it and it reinforces your independence. Plus every day you're learning something new and meeting incredible people. Yes...Just do it!

    Hey Jadyn, no doubt your journey is in the world, and, within yourself. Interestingly, the two are connected. If you happen to find the humility to address our heavenly Father in prayer, and walk with Him and talk with Him, just watch how He transforms and protects you in your worldly experience. And for any shortcomings you may feel about yourself, His only Son is our Redeemer and brings us into our Father's grace. Make your relationship with Jesus too, inside, and enjoy the great journey on the outside. Your prayful partners are all pulling for you Jaydn. ❤

    I just stumbled over your post and was wonderin what you prospectiv on the olo teavelling was. I've been solo travelling from the age of 17 and have passed my 50ies and have also been away from my parents care from that age too. I've travelled throuh every continent and to a lot of different countries aswell as deep an true 3rd world countries. Wait and see until you hit those as a solo traveller, where nothing works like a clock work such as Switzerland, London and Paris which at the end of the day are all easy peasy destinations solo or not. For me meeting up with friends everywhere you go, isn't really solo travelling. Being on the road out in he sticks for weeks on end with no language knowledge (chinese, arabic, asian languages) that's hard! At least I speak english, french and german, which I would recommend of trying to learn other languages.
    Also: travelling today with being connected to loved ones through smartphones and having all the luxuries of being able to figure out stuff directly on the phone whereever you are, takes away a lot of the adventure - but at the same times makes everything so much easier and smoother.
    Living on a RV or sailing the caribbean with your family doesn't prepare you at all to what real life is all about. In that life style you live in a bubble, especially if your still with mum and dad. Not a care in the world!

Finn you can tell struggles with something and that's why he's leaving once they get back to America. He's going on his own adventure to find himself. I think Finn is at a different crossroads in his life then Jadyn. I don't think it's fair to criticize any of them. To each of them there own. Some people just like to create drama that's not there. Traveling around the world on multiple yachts AND backpacking through Europe with zero responsibilities does sound mentally draining. I mean most of your contemporaries are living the high life…. • @anthill1510
      @anthill1510 11 месяцев назад +4

      People who are as young as Jadyn get homesick when they are away from friends and family, it doesn`t matter if you are on a yacht, on the most beautiful beach in the world, or in a tiny dormroom.
      And having to manage your way in a country you don`t know, changing locations often, etc. is mentally training, yes. It is also an incredible priviledge, I agree with you there. Still, processing all these new impressions is mentally training, that`s just it, the brain get`s exhausted even if most of the new impressions are positive.
      I am assuming you have never travelled yourself, otherwise you would know all that. If you can`t stand all these privileged brats having a better life than you, than maybe don`t watch a channel like this?! I mean I don`t know how old you are but by the way you write you don`t sound like a teenager, still you are bashing an 18/19 year old on the internet. I would question myself a bit about that.

      @@anthill1510many of us travelled Europe at age 18 or so, before the age of the internet. We used guidebooks, picked up a bit of the local language while riding on trains, staying in hostels, and with families renting out spare bedrooms on small towns. We rode bikes rented at the train stations and sat by commuters we engaged in with conversation well enough to send them post cards. We had pictures developed from film that we used sparingly, because there was no digital editing. Once you have your train pass, there was no turning back. You had to figure out the way. Only phone booths, and no online reservation. People relied on word of mouth and it was much more common to as a stranger for directions or share a drink in a bar. The only flights we took were to cross the Atlantic. In many ways, it was much more enriching and certainly more fun not having to edit and upload a video for "followers" we'd never met.

I know that you have been alone navigating trains finding hostels so yes you have experienced some alone time but it is very obvious you are homesick for friends and family. • @ivanfaught9997
      @ivanfaught9997 11 месяцев назад +21

      I also sensed a negative vibe towards Jadyn, especially jealousy and prejudice from the Whitaker kids. Especially from Finn exclaiming a few times in the camera to Jadyn that she don't have his "permission" to film him. A bit childish of him because everyone is filming everybody all the time. One could see he did not mean it as a joke.
      Even from Keith I sensed prejudice, not allowing Jadyn to help out at the helm "for insurance purposes", but the new male friend on their Atlantic crossing is allowed to sit alone at the helm. Did Keith now suddenly take out extra boat insurance for the male guest? I think not.
      Other than that I enjoy Renee's videos the most. Jadyn is a bit of a busy body for me. Maybe because I'm 62 and she a teenager. But her honesty and babbling makes her travels interesting.

She often looks pretty tired and I think all of them are tired of the travel and will enjoy being home in Texas or Montana. It will be interesting to see what becomes of empty nesters. I also saw Luke was allowed to do night watches. There was definitely a vibe. For one thing no one slept well in that captains peak. Remember when the first young guy left? And the Muslim kid often slept on deck. I think Jayden found it very hard sleeping in that locker having close proximity to a 20 year old guy who didn’t try to hold his farts in. Ugh.
