Great to see Nick again doing a GOTD.
Such a beautiful instrument.
That was bloody marvelous, Nick!! Damn near had me in tears when you started in on "Life on Mars". Thanks for this Brother, a hell of a fantastic guitar and a hell of a nice demo!!
everyone on Norm's is a super talented & soulful guitarist!
Absolutel beautiful instrument and playing. Thanks
It's so great to see those repairs. To think that someone might once have thought it was just a broken old guitar found in someone's estate and just thrown it out makes me wonder how often such misfortune befalls old guitars.
Beautiful guitar, beautiful sounding. Thanks for the demo.
Wonderful instrument - so pleased it still exists and is there to add such beauty, visually and aurally. Lovely playing by Nick - please bring him in more often.
I'll trade my Squier Hello Kitty Strat for it but i'm gonna need some cash on your end to go with it.
Martin guitars make tonal dreams come true! I’m in Love one more time! Santa Cruz, Maton’s and Taylor’s and others are beautiful
but just play a Martin made from the good folk in Nazareth, PA and I’m all in, and all ears! Nice, Nick!
Wow beautiful playing.
WOW -Mother of pearl on the fret board and head stock. The rainbow abalone all around the top and the circle opening on the guitar front.
WASN'T THAT FAN-TAS-TICK
Im always glad to see someone who knows how to tell the difference and doesn't use the two interchangeably
@@ajbowen9371 I tend to get teased with all the guys here. I have the guitar bug too. I love abalone and anything that is beautiful. I have Kona wood barretts with abalone inlays to match lol..
Out of all the guitars I’ve seen on guitar of the day, this for me is the one I want the most. Stunning!
Yay, Nick on GOTD!
Wow! Sounds just FAB - much bigger than its physical size!
Good to see you Nick. Always a treat to see the Brit being wheeled out.
Right on Nick! Love it!
Usually I just enjoy the guitar of the day but this is more Nick - organic and awesome!
OMG! The tone!!!!!
Another honest and beautiful demo!! Thanks for sharing!
Gotta love a slotted head
Nick, your playing is really exceptional. The 000-45 sounded beautiful. KUDOS to you and Normy.
Norm you should host at least one episode of G O T D as you are way to humble about your ability to !!!!
Pure Martin tone, stunning
Beautiful guitar!! Good job Nick!!
1928...damn...that's f-n fabulous! And,it sounds so good!
beautiful guitar , sounds like church bells , and 92 years old , incredible , what a beauty , it must be so great working at Norms , great demo Nick , a guy we don't get to hear enough from , don't know how long MIchael's away , but cool we get to see some of the other gang. thanks guys.
Stunning
Beautiful sounding / looks Guitar. I suck at finger picking . Glad to hear this gem strummed......fantastic !
Love Nick! He's from my neck of the woods, about 9 miles away! I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I win the lotto I'll visit this shop!!
Nick is a fantastik guitarist!
finally get to see Nick play
Love a good Martin on my favourite day of the week! Lovely work Nick! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Beautiful Martin great playing Nick, I think the new guy just might work out too. Jen kills it with her Bye, Jeff in LA USA
I love the sound of that guitar. Very cool! Good job Nick 👍👏
Yeah I think maybe, keep that guy,, "Norm" was it. .. great job 2 all of the folks involved with guitar of the day.! Thank you Nick for excellent playing!!. Hope to see you coming back for some of the acoustic videos.
The man, the myth, the legend, oh and some guy called norm is it??? 😬😂😂 only joking love you norm and big love to Nick from the UK xx 👍👍
Thanks Nick
Bella guitara...única..ese tono no se replica...madera papa! Y de la vieja...nice Sr nick
Awesome guitar and awesome playing
Capo on 4th fret is life!
That’s probably my dream guitar.
Nick, you are a great emotional player.
Nice playing Nick!
You had me from the first note. An amazing little guitar, such craftsmanship and tone. I much prefer the tone of the 000 style guitars to the jumbos and that Martin is exceptional. Nice demo too.
Amazing guitar
Loved the picking Nick.
Really Awesome, thanks guys!🤘😎
I really like Michael but Nick is my favorite. Beautiful guitar and special playing .
Nick is my favorite. 👍👍👍
We need more Nick for GOTD!!!
Nick is chill.
Beautiful thing 👍
1st time I've heard a comment on the smell of a guitar...hoped it smelled as beautiful as it sounded!
wow is that a beauty
WOW
Is it just me or does the production look a lot more sharper now. GOTD is one of my favorites on you tube and everyone is doing a magnificent job especially nick who's a fantastic guitarist. But I would absolutely love for mark to come back and do GOTD from time to time. His playing is awesome and I loved his humour.
Love ya Nick.........🎸💚
Does anybody know how many of these were made? I am probably mistaken but I think i remember Vince Gill saying that they made like 16 or while he displayed his. Maybe it was specific to that year?
Sounds amazing. But I really want to hear Mr. Norm play it!!
What was the song he was playing at 5:25
David Bowie - Life On Mars
Nick Dias, the guy who gets tired of saying " it's Dias, not Diaz!!!!"
Fun fact, Bowie tried writing lyrics for Frank Sinatra on what became “My Way” (based on a French tune). When Bowie finally heard “My Way” and realized it was the same song, but not his lyrics. Bowie then wrote “Life on Mars” as a sort of “answer” to losing that gig, which helped his career take off.

91 years old and looks better than Nick and Norm combined :p I kid fellas, thanks for showcasing this beautiful instrument.
Hey could take a request? I'd love to see some more Gibson flattops 😁 I love them !
If I had 90G or more to spend I would make it mine. Absolutely gorgeous......wow!
best Martin i have ever heard
The demo was great. And the vintage Martin acoustic was, like all the other vintage Martin acoustics, a vintage Martin acoustic. However, these outstanding rare, vintage acoustics are also on Norm's Reverb channel. Do you think that MAYBE, you might acknowledge that GIbson and Martin weren't the only two companies making great acoustic guitars back in the day, and might consider featuring one of these high-end, expensive, "we really want to sell these" guitars for a change of pace?

That guitar is dying to play a old Jimmy Rogers tune
Ah, Nick. You know. Cheers, mate.
The fretboard markers look to be pearl and the binding inlay is abalone. The torch inlay on the headstock is abalone.
I want to know if Jen is playing yet? Got to!
Nick should do one a week
I see in the header info about price inquiries . I'm way too afraid to ask. Gotta be over 10 k easily, right?

When looking at the thumbnail, I thought: "Is that a 12-string acoustic that Nick's playing?" I was TOTALLY wrong to say the least!
The body shape looks more like a 00 than a 000, no ? i don't know much about Martins but i thought the top would be larger ..
Nick should do more GOTD
what was the first tuning?
Open G
6 figure $$$,$$$ Guitar of the day. Enjoy.

I bet about 300,000 for a nice one. Oh no,,, it's the 12 fretted,,, make that 200,000

C'mon...Norm signed a deal with the devil but delivers as an Angel
Darryl Stevens
BULLSHIT
HE WORKS CONSTANTLY AND VERY VERY HARD FOR IT
CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042
I could definitely make this guitar sound like a $5.00 guitar
Norm: This was the fanciest guitar they made at the time.
Nick: Would this have been their fanciest model?
LOL
Did that like 5 times
Nick: Did I do that like 5 times?
Nick did that three times. Goof. I guess you don't have to listen to sell guirars
I bet the price on that looks like a phone number! A modern day Stradivarius...
Does Norm need an O positive kidney? Low mileage and never abused.
That's a Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar
More than likely the guitar will hardly ever be played. Once you're deep into six figure money- - - enter lawyers, insurance agents, security issues, storage issues, chain-of-custody transport issues. So it was good to hear someone play the instrument and experience the sound it creates.
