Couldn't the paper version be easily improved? Either switch the positions of the diamond and heart, or draw the heart upside down. In that way, when you're done, you will be able to flip one half the paper so that both pieces look like a 3 with the suit, right side up and forward. If you draw it upside down, you can show the heart vs diamond at the beginning by rotating the paper.
What I do is put the 8 cards in the right order and then say “I will make a prediction without looking at the cards, and to make it harder I will shuffle the cards. Do ripple shuffle keeping the bottom 2 cards on the bottom. Then turn your back and turnover the 2 bottom cards.
Not a clue, but to be honest my local post office is the worst. I’ve lost nearly 50 packages with them. Best they have me was, “maybe it got damaged and the label couldn’t be scanned.”
