Is there any particularly cool interesting place across the Former Soviet Union that people want to see? I wanted to visit Murmansk and Teriberka for YEARS, but in the future I'm also planning to see places like Norilsk (the most polluted city on earth), Yakutsk (where the coldest temperature ever was recorded), Chukotka (on the Bering Strait), Vladivostok, and the entire Russian Far East really. Feel free to recommend anything that you know is of interest. Yes; Tula (south of Moscow). My favorite novel 'Metro - by Alexander Kaletski' has the protagonist come from there. In the novel it's a manufacturing centre. I'd love to know more about it.
Have you been to Kamchatka? It and Chukotka look cool. Also Sakha Yakutia. Also also Nenets. Also also also Severny or Yuzhny island and Franz Joseph land.
@@alexilonopoulos3165 They're all on my list - Kamchatka less than others, for some reason. I know it's the most touristy area in the Far East probably, but if I had to pick I'd go to Vladivostok, Magadan or Chukotka before Magadan. I know the volcanoes are nice. I'd love to explore the villages of Chukotka but it takes a fair amount of money as you need to travel via helicopter and you need a permit to visit there - it was a requirement for Russian citizens as well up until 2018 if I'm not mistaken. Yakutia I'd really love to visit it all, starting from Yakutsk and visiting the poles of cold - Oymyakon and Verkhoyansk. I plan on visiting the Nenets as well, I will probably do it when I can take the train from Salekhard to Vorkuta, another fascinating destination for its history.
I even watch all of the adverts without skipping so you can eventually book nicer hotels when you do your travels. Greetings from England love the content!
since few weeks I have been searching for good Russian vlogs until I found your Channel! The content exactly is what I was Wanting to watch which gives an overlook of all the remote Russian during soviet and other vast towns.. Keep making these kinda videos, really need bloggers like you Dave
Dave - I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work. I’m surprised the videos don’t have hundreds of thousands of views. I think once the word gets out it will definitely go in that direction
You are definitely making a good job of your videos. I was a bit reserved when I came across your videos in the beginning, thinking about another B&B emulator, sorry for that. But your work seems more genuine, and I progressively enjoy your videos more. Waiting for the next one :-)
I wish Dave had explored that newly built town, but it's a good video nevertheless. Dave deserves more views. Bald is more charismatic, but Dave has hair.
I know Bald usually isn’t interested in eating the local food, but I think that is always interesting. Edit: great video as well. Super interesting subject matter.
Interesting Dave thanks for the ride. I think I would enjoy staying at one of the torish buildings? I would image there is heat, lights and food available at the end of the world? Next time please try And interview with some of the local residents since you speak Russian. Waiting for your next video. wc from New York
Nice Video.. I am a Travel Vlogger from India.. I planing to visit Terriberka next Year once Covid is under control.. I wanted to know if there is place to stay in Terriberka for Overnight..
The sea is cold, but not barren. From time immemorial, there has been a fishery for salmon and cod. The fish is still in the sea. So no moraine is barren.
Unless I missed it on another video, I would love to get an introduction of the lovely lady who is accompanying you on some of these trips. Is she your girlfriend?
Your accent is awesome; "Half-nine....bu' anyway...MouRRRRmansk". Presumably you've spent time in the UK and Russia/Eastern Europe? Dude - fill in the "About" tab so we know more about you?
@@RandomDave Yeah can do. I was only in Kiev, Zhytomyr and Lviv at the time. I am incredibly interested in Eastern Ukraine. Hit me up if you ever end up in Russia, too.

Quando hon visto che sei Italiano mi sono sorpreso. Complimenti! Mi raccomando , stai più lontano che puoi dall'Italia in quanto momento.

You've booked the same Airbnb as us! Maybe the only one in Murmansk :))
Seriously? No way ahahaha it wasn't the only one, but it surely was the cheapest!
Quanto dura il viaggio tra Murmansk e Teriberka. Ciao e complimenti sono un tuo fanatico seguitore.

There is, just check on Booking.com. Mind you the cheaper options are often fully booked in advance for the busier periods (Jan holidays mainly)
good Job

Excellent video. Sure beats the propaganda in the news.
hi, what camera are you using at night while your walking?
So many tourists...

@@DaveLegenda Chap - It's lovely - easy to understand, Brit colloquialisms, and clearly you pronounce Russian like a native. More plz!
Are all the other people there tourists too? 🤔
Abandoned places are so atractive
Is that church news ?
Im getting a map of Russia today.. your fault.😁🇨🇦👍
Are you planing on coming to Ukraine at some point?
I've been once when I travelled from Venice to Kiev by bus, but I am dying to go back. Definitely hope to be back in the near future.
