Sohyang doesn’t seem to project much masculine energy or intensity. In Western vocal training, the advice is often not to push the sound forward but to elevate it. When hitting high notes, it’s about lifting rather than forcing, embodying feminine energy. Sohyang excels in this regard-her performance is extraordinarily beautiful and moving, like a rare jewel. It feels as if she was born with this gift, rather than having learned it. She truly embodies the essence of high-pitched beauty. This is an exceptional, pure gem that stands out uniquely in the world. For context, I’m not particularly a fan of pop music or high-pitched songs, and I only recently came across Sohyang.
