I believe I'm getting about 5% of most brands although the higher end brands have netted me more than selling them on Ebay at times.
Yep, it's a nice little "scam" they have going. There is a large local consignment store franchise here that will get the donation write off for anything that doesn't sell and/or not picked up after being rejected. I am planning on starting the same gig but with a few different twists. Other than trashing the items, donating seems the best alternative. I was going to set up an annex office inside my store for a pro-life women's org. and move the unsold maternity/baby clothes/items to their office.
I think you got a good deal and I love several of the ones you got! However, I just tried ThredUp and sent them a huge bag of clothes. They kept 10 items that they paid me out up front and they gave me $8.26! That is crazy! That is not even a dollar an item and just to give you an idea I got .70 cents for a Michael Kors shirt that they have already sold! I could have gotten more than that at a yardsale. I realize they have overhead and running a business has expenses but less than a dollar! That is crazy. I also think they are now selling the "rejects" in these mystery boxes instead of donating them like they tell the clients. IMO this is fraud because they are making money on those boxes and didn't pay the client a cent for the items. I have decided not to do business with them any longer.
This is why I'm always a bit leery when it comes to ThredUp. I have had the same experience with sending stuff in over the years. I think they just are being too greedy lately. They either give me like 50 cents for something or I get $60 for St. John (seriously). What the heck Thred Up!?!
When I tried selling on thredup I was able to sell from my house I was never going to send them my items even though they sent me a box and I just took the pictures and posted I sold like one or two items it's not worth the hassle buying one of these rescue boxes might be interesting I just wouldn't count on it you know it is gambling after all
oh & I am 100% with you on putting items in plastic bags when packing - I actually find it unacceptable for any seller on any platform - I have always put every item in a seperate bag for all my Ebay sales, it never occurred to me NOT to! It cost almost nothing & go miles to help prevent returns and is just good business. sorry for the rambling.....I've had a retail store for 30 years - I'm pretty passionate about customer care!
I like your rambling! I understand that people are taking measures to protect the footprint they leave behind and are trying to use less plastic. But, if an item you sell can be hurt by rain, snow, moisture, etc, I think it needs to go inside a protective layer. Especially a large company like this.
I feel the same way. I've ordered a few resale boxes and the stuff has come crammed in their with not protection from the elements. Not to mention the animal hair, human hair, deodorant, and food on the items. And getting jeans in the card board flat rates with out them being in a plastic bag first. Ugggg....yeah I rambled too. But I been aching to get that off my chest lol...

I think if you know going in to it that it is an environmental brand, that you should understand that they are limiting waste and damage. Its not necessarily about the cost of the plastic. I for one want more companies to be environmental and use less plastic. People, in my opinion, should be responsible about ordering their items during dry times, to a place the item would be protected, or from another brand that upholds their needs.
I know right? I ordered a Coach "rescue" box, but was seriously contemplating the 50 or 100 Handbag lot. I decided to see how this Coach lot goes first. I was really impressed with the quality she received.
Don't do it Ann. I ordered one of their 25 purse boxes and it was awful. Purses so old they had the brick style shape cell phone pocket inside lol. Stuff that Goodwill can't even get rid of. I paid $5.25 a purse I think, and I hope some of the other nicer more current ones can at least get me my money back. I'm doubtful. I got a jean box that was equally horrible. That was only $24 so I might lot them up and sell for $10 etc. Even though the brands were not good, they were consistent sizes which will be helpful in trying to at least cover the cost of the box. It's hit or miss. Purses I feel they try to unload a lot of crap though.
You can wash leather bags and shoes in the washing machine with Murphys oil soap. They turn out beautifully! Try one you don’t care anything about and see.

I just posted the shoe unboxing. It was pretty good IMO. So far two Coach bags have sold but those sold to viewers. I need to get the rest of them up on Ebay.
I have several coach bags and because some them are made from cloth material I throw them in the washer and dryer with some laundry detergent. They come out beautiful, nice and clean. You can spray a stain remover on them too. I only wash the cloth ones because I have some that are not cloth.
I agree the seller(s) should get some payment for the sale. How many purses and how much did you pay for the two boxes and did it include s/h? Hmmm....those are good Coaches. I wonder why they didn't sell..??? Could be there's an oversaturation of coach purses? Would you sell them close to their retail? Or would you take them to the flea market to sell? If I were you I would get a table at the flea market and sell those coaches. However, the coaches with short straps are not selling because women are wearing totes and bags with long shoulder straps. I avoid those purses with short handles. If it's leather there should be a tag inside that says leather. That's what I look for.
I paid $80 per box, with shipping included. So both boxes in total were $160. I have sold the large messenger for $30 to a viewer and the colorful scarf print one for $15 as it had some wear. I will be pricing them low, to move them quickly. Thanks for all the info! You were quite helpful. If they don't sell before January, our community has a yard sale and I will put them out then. I have only listed a few on Ebay and need to get the rest of them on :)

mujerazteca18 there are a lot of reseller on poshmark. They source from goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. I’m not judging it. I always try to find a non-reseller to buy used items from though.
I had a bad experience on thread up sending me a bag that smelled like garbage, two big holes and extremely dirty. When I tried to get my money back they refused so I had to go through my bank . Never again will I buy from them.
I think that it is also up to the shipping company, whether it’s USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc... to cover packages with a plastic in inclement weather, especially if they are leaving them out in the elements... I do believe UPS does it, but I’m not sure?... I know I have had packages left outside my home in inclement weather and some of them have been covered in plastic, I’m just not sure which shipping company goes out of their way to do so😀

They used to claim that they were donating the items that they didn't accept and you would see items pop up on the site that they "didn't want" or just didn't want to pay you for. Horrible company.
Just found your channel after watching Bexa Boss Lady's unboxing of a Thread Up reject clothing box. She had mentioned the Coach boxes so thx for doing this! I'll confess that I jump off creators videos quickly when they lack personality or enthusiasm (or they exaggerate enthusiasm) so big props for being authentically engaged because I watched to the end! The actual comment I wanted to make was that I thought the bags were in amazingly good condition for being pre-owned! You've been reselling a lot longer then me, but I've been able to get out most stains so dirt/stains is almost never an issue, thanks to all the YT vids on how to clean specific brands of bags & shoes! So If you can make at least twice your $$ back on 5-6 items, then I personally think it's a pretty great deal for items that came to you! I have never found a good condition Coach bag in the wild for under $15! Thanks so much for making this video - really smart to buy from two different accounts! Just subscribed! Viki

So happy you got great bags! I ordered this box and most of mine were very dirty, old and worn. I certainly expected some of that, but not four of them. The only one that is in good shape is a very small bag. I hope thredup enjoys my money, I won't be ordering again.😕
I came over after Ann Eckert mentioned your channel in a vlog. Love your channel! The purses that have a creed on them, if the number starts with an F it's a factory outlet bag. I go to Plato's closet some and their coach bags are in the 50 range. Just because it's small doesn't always mean it's cheaper. It's more personal preference. The Factory outlet bags are usually a little lower in quality and price but not always. Coach makes leather/ canvas cleaner. And a waterproof treatment for the canvas. Personally I think it's priced too high. I buy mine at Rural King or Tractor supply. I love Coach and Rebecca Minkoff bags and I'm a Lot older than you. 😉

I don't know if you are aware of the product called Folex... You can get nearly any stains off fabric using Folex... I have used it to remove ink stains from inside bags with great success...
Hey .. I'm 50+ and I ordered a box (just one so far). I like Coach myself. I was impressed with the quality you got. I hope I get 6 in a box too. I figure if I love it, I keep it .. and sell the rest. I would love to see a Shoe Rescue box too.
I washed it again a few days ago and it came out much, much better but the streaking is still there. I think you might be right. YIKES! I'm was letting it dry today in the sun and might try another washing tomorrow. But, if it is mold, gross & garbage!
Mellissa I know this because I'm highly allergic to mold/mildew and I'm a reseller of purses, shoes, clothing and I came across a nice purse but had some stains on it. I washed it really well but once it dried it looked funky in spots and this funky smell started and I was like wth? So I decided to just throw it away, so I cut a piece of fabric away and OMG underneath the fabric on the "bones" of the construction of the purse was BLACK MOLD.....needless to say it ended up in the garbage!
My mail carrier leaves boxes on my front porch/door area. We only live a few feet above sea level and Florida gets quite lovely summer and fall storms where it pours almost every evening. The area floods easily and the rain is almost sideways at times :)
I second always putting bought items in plastic. I sell vintage linens online and always bag my items. Have had many buyers thank me. The envelope was left on porch was a mess, the item was in 100% great shape.
I wouldn't do thred-up for resale - too many people have had bad experiences. HOWEVER, man, if I'd gotten that 6th Coach bag I would be doing the happy dance. I am also of an age that I no longer use my Coach bags much (I have 4, all bought at Goodwill), but I would be all over that cute messenger bag! It makes me happy looking at it.
I have a Coach bag and I would say you did very well for $80 a couple's of maybe okay but most of them on the most part you'll do okay reselling good luck
Interesting! I have a few on FB Marketplace but I think people are a little leery of fake Coach online. I'm going to try them on Ebay. We have a community yard sale in January which is coming up quickly and I might try them there if they don't sell :)

I agree. But, a lot of what is being sold on Ebay & Poshmark is also used stuff. Goodwill makes a killing selling used stuff. The market is there and ThredUp is still around, years & years later. I have purchased items on there before (I had a coupon code) and found new items as well. A sweater for my niece was $12 instead of the retail price of $128 and it was new with tags. But some stuff is not a great deal at all.
@@whitneysanders6996 My Goodwill is much more expensive. They have workers that look up everything that comes out and they have a boutique in their store. Ann Taylor LOFT dresses are $14.99 and up, Coach would be at least $20, Burberry jackets are $149.99, etc. They are pricing their items high and don't have sales like "blue tags are half off." The items are also put on the floor with flaws and so it is common to see a stained Under Armour t-shirt for $10-$20.
Yes to the shoes! After watching your clothing thredup box I ordered one and was pleasantly surprised by what I got. Can definitely make my money back and a profit, not a huge profit but it was fun and I kept several pieces for myself and family members.
Ok the first bag isn't my style but looked gently used, I loved the second one, What was the issue with the third one ? The fourth one wasn't my style but didn't seem bad, Loved the Blue one,it was a bit big for my needs,but nice, Uber cute on the wristlet.
The third bag doesn't really have major flaws. The inside of the pocket had dust (which I cleaned out) and the was a little "pick" in the fabric. Thanks for your comment!
Coach does not want people to resell their products..so they probably just pass them on.. the antique mall I have booths at got a legal cease and desist letter from Coach.. I know, I know about first sale doctrine.. but still..

What thred up does it if you don't want the item back then they sell it in a Rescue box type situation. How long ago did you buy your rescue box from Thred Up because I have checked their site and they only now have mix clothing and scarves..
You can pay ThredUp to send everything back or have them keep the item. You need to decide when sending in your items and I believe it is $12.99 to get any items back.
Love the video. I don't ask for my items back from thredup so wonder if this is where the good items they don't accept go? The prices they give us for our items are ridiculous.
I agree with you on the prices they pay. They are crazy low for most items. I'm guessing ThredUp is at the point where they have so many bags being delivered that they can pay a quarter and still have way too much inventory. In 2013, they were giving me $50-$125 per bag, in 2015, it was $14-$85, in 2017 it was $18-$65 and in the last few months it has been $15-$36. However, what I'm sending them might have changed as well since I cannot see what I sent in 2013. I know I couldn't sell a Nanette Lepore dress on Ebay for $20. I sent it in and they gave me $27. Citizens for Humanity jeans I couldn't sell for $10 brought me $12.30. So it is still worth it (for me), especially if I'm going to donate it as I've donated more than $500 and my accountant tries to keep me under that number for my taxes.

5:35 That purse is very cute, but $165 for a fabric/cloth purse like that is outrageously expensive!! I usually have 1 - 2 purses & keep them for years, so I haven't been an avid purse buyer. (I guess I am not a fashionista by any stretch of the imagination.) I think the purse before it was $328 retail. Even more ridiculous for that ugly thing. It's hard to imagine them charging that much or someone buying them at retail. But, doing what you are doing....buy & resell...is a great idea!!
Haha! We are similar in that I own 1 purse which I replace with the same exact purse each year. I buy my new one on Ebay (usually for $35 shipped) and then resell my used one (usually for $35 shipped) and so I get a new bag each year for free. It is the Very Bradley "On the Go" in solid black. I know where everything goes and it goes with my entire wardrobe, as I wear only certain colors. It is crazy that purses are so pricey but, as a seller, I'm thrilled. ;)

Yes! Shoes! I’ve thought about buying a shoe one for myself lol. I’m not a huge fan of thred up as a buyer or seller (as a buyer I constantly got things marked NWT that were in terrible condition, and as a seller I’ve had bags of NWT items get rejected), but those boxes do look worth the price! And if I knew of another site to send stuff (not high end) into besides thredup or swap I would because neither are taking anything right now lol

Awwww! Thank you! I have very oily skin and so I usually just use argan oil at night & in the morning and wash it with hand soap. Hehe. My skin reflects what I eat and so when I eat only raw, whole foods (mostly spinach & berries), it gets very clear. And then I eat something processed and it doesn't look as good ;)
I received my box today and so disappointed! I received all 5 items tossed in the box and wrap with one tissue one regular purse, all dirty and scratched in the front, one little tiny purse looks like for little girl sz of med wallet and 3 mini wallets the size of my hand or smaller. I was hoping to split it with my sister. so wish I can return them, I can't believe it,...lost $80😥

For me personally, I look at it this way, I only send them stuff that I was going to donate anyway. So I write down EVERYTHING I send them, and add it to my tax return filing papers. If I have any bags that I want to get actual money for I sell them via my postmark account. Plus I send them stuff I know they will recycle.

I got my box yesterday and was super disappointed! Only receive 2 bags. The other items were 2 small wallets and 1 tiny wristlet. The bonus item was a random checkbook cover out of a large wallets with pen marks all over it. Feeling like I wasted $80. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I know the boxes were random but I would contact ThredUp. I'm not affiliated with them at all but I found their email on their website: rescues@thredup.com All the boxes are random and they state "Some items may have cosmetic defects, be missing labels, tags or hardware, or need to be cleaned or lightly mended". I have seen rescue boxes better than mine and worse. My ThredUp rescue box of clothing was not good. I know they have a 30 day return policy so you might want to contact them. :)
just so everyone knows. ALL the boxes like this on Thread up the people receive nothing at all for these items. They r unethically selling these donated items. That being said u can really make out on these but it is all up to chance.
Ashley, I'm glad you have commented. I edited my description to reflect what you have said because ThredUp is paying very little and sometimes they don't pay at all. It is almost like donating your items at times.
I hope ThredUp is giving the sender of the bag a portion of the $80. If they are just rejecting the items and the person is saying donate it but ThredUp is then profiting instead, that is not right at all. But seems like an okay deal if they are actually authentic.

I sold the last one this past week. I made a profit (after Ebay fees, Paypal fees and all shipping fees) of $68 on the first box and $92 on the second box. The big "win" was how much my ThredUp videos have made and continue to make. I have made more than $500 on all five videos and that continues to climb. I hope that helps!

Sell it through the Lux program and you will get it back for free.

I feel the same way. I've ordered a few resale boxes and the stuff has come crammed in their with not protection from the elements. Not to mention the animal hair, human hair, deodorant, and food on the items. And getting jeans in the card board flat rates with out them being in a plastic bag first. Ugggg....yeah I rambled too. But I been aching to get that off my chest lol...

I think if you know going in to it that it is an environmental brand, that you should understand that they are limiting waste and damage. Its not necessarily about the cost of the plastic. I for one want more companies to be environmental and use less plastic. People, in my opinion, should be responsible about ordering their items during dry times, to a place the item would be protected, or from another brand that upholds their needs.
I washed my personal coach bag in the washing machine and it came out great! I air dried it.

Don't do it Ann. I ordered one of their 25 purse boxes and it was awful. Purses so old they had the brick style shape cell phone pocket inside lol. Stuff that Goodwill can't even get rid of. I paid $5.25 a purse I think, and I hope some of the other nicer more current ones can at least get me my money back. I'm doubtful. I got a jean box that was equally horrible. That was only $24 so I might lot them up and sell for $10 etc. Even though the brands were not good, they were consistent sizes which will be helpful in trying to at least cover the cost of the box. It's hit or miss. Purses I feel they try to unload a lot of crap though.
You can wash leather bags and shoes in the washing machine with Murphys oil soap. They turn out beautifully! Try one you don’t care anything about and see.

I have several coach bags and because some them are made from cloth material I throw them in the washer and dryer with some laundry detergent. They come out beautiful, nice and clean. You can spray a stain remover on them too. I only wash the cloth ones because I have some that are not cloth.

I agree the seller(s) should get some payment for the sale. How many purses and how much did you pay for the two boxes and did it include s/h? Hmmm....those are good Coaches. I wonder why they didn't sell..??? Could be there's an oversaturation of coach purses? Would you sell them close to their retail? Or would you take them to the flea market to sell? If I were you I would get a table at the flea market and sell those coaches.
However, the coaches with short straps are not selling because women are wearing totes and bags with long shoulder straps. I avoid those purses with short handles.
If it's leather there should be a tag inside that says leather. That's what I look for.
I paid $80 per box, with shipping included. So both boxes in total were $160. I have sold the large messenger for $30 to a viewer and the colorful scarf print one for $15 as it had some wear. I will be pricing them low, to move them quickly. Thanks for all the info! You were quite helpful. If they don't sell before January, our community has a yard sale and I will put them out then. I have only listed a few on Ebay and need to get the rest of them on :)

You can get just about any stain including pen with Carbona stain wizard. It doesn't remove color or damage the leather.

mujerazteca18 there are a lot of reseller on poshmark. They source from goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. I’m not judging it. I always try to find a non-reseller to buy used items from though.
I had a bad experience on thread up sending me a bag that smelled like garbage, two big holes and extremely dirty. When I tried to get my money back they refused so I had to go through my bank . Never again will I buy from them.

I think that it is also up to the shipping company, whether it’s USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc... to cover packages with a plastic in inclement weather, especially if they are leaving them out in the elements... I do believe UPS does it, but I’m not sure?... I know I have had packages left outside my home in inclement weather and some of them have been covered in plastic, I’m just not sure which shipping company goes out of their way to do so😀

They used to claim that they were donating the items that they didn't accept and you would see items pop up on the site that they "didn't want" or just didn't want to pay you for. Horrible company.

Just found your channel after watching Bexa Boss Lady's unboxing of a Thread Up reject clothing box. She had mentioned the Coach boxes so thx for doing this! I'll confess that I jump off creators videos quickly when they lack personality or enthusiasm (or they exaggerate enthusiasm) so big props for being authentically engaged because I watched to the end! The actual comment I wanted to make was that I thought the bags were in amazingly good condition for being pre-owned! You've been reselling a lot longer then me, but I've been able to get out most stains so dirt/stains is almost never an issue, thanks to all the YT vids on how to clean specific brands of bags & shoes! So If you can make at least twice your $$ back on 5-6 items, then I personally think it's a pretty great deal for items that came to you! I have never found a good condition Coach bag in the wild for under $15! Thanks so much for making this video - really smart to buy from two different accounts! Just subscribed! Viki

So happy you got great bags! I ordered this box and most of mine were very dirty, old and worn. I certainly expected some of that, but not four of them. The only one that is in good shape is a very small bag. I hope thredup enjoys my money, I won't be ordering again.😕
I came over after Ann Eckert mentioned your channel in a vlog. Love your channel! The purses that have a creed on them, if the number starts with an F it's a factory outlet bag. I go to Plato's closet some and their coach bags are in the 50 range. Just because it's small doesn't always mean it's cheaper. It's more personal preference. The Factory outlet bags are usually a little lower in quality and price but not always. Coach makes leather/ canvas cleaner. And a waterproof treatment for the canvas. Personally I think it's priced too high. I buy mine at Rural King or Tractor supply. I love Coach and Rebecca Minkoff bags and I'm a Lot older than you. 😉

Yes! It is the only reason I have a can of hairspray at my house - LOL!
I don't know if you are aware of the product called Folex... You can get nearly any stains off fabric using Folex... I have used it to remove ink stains from inside bags with great success...
I would take the wet on to be dry cleaned. I bet it would come back beautiful

Yikes ... As of today, Thred Up no longer has the Coach boxes listed as a Rescue/Reject box.
The tan Coach that got wet looks to have a mildew issue that will never come clean...eventually it will start to mold!
I washed it again a few days ago and it came out much, much better but the streaking is still there. I think you might be right. YIKES! I'm was letting it dry today in the sun and might try another washing tomorrow. But, if it is mold, gross & garbage!
Mellissa I know this because I'm highly allergic to mold/mildew and I'm a reseller of purses, shoes, clothing and I came across a nice purse but had some stains on it. I washed it really well but once it dried it looked funky in spots and this funky smell started and I was like wth? So I decided to just throw it away, so I cut a piece of fabric away and OMG underneath the fabric on the "bones" of the construction of the purse was BLACK MOLD.....needless to say it ended up in the garbage!
Actually try to cleanse with white vinegar which is acetic acid which will kill mildew but not bleach the color

My mail carrier leaves boxes on my front porch/door area. We only live a few feet above sea level and Florida gets quite lovely summer and fall storms where it pours almost every evening. The area floods easily and the rain is almost sideways at times :)
I second always putting bought items in plastic. I sell vintage linens online and always bag my items. Have had many buyers thank me. The envelope was left on porch was a mess, the item was in 100% great shape.
Your customers are probably so thankful you take that extra step! :)

I wouldn't do thred-up for resale - too many people have had bad experiences. HOWEVER, man, if I'd gotten that 6th Coach bag I would be doing the happy dance. I am also of an age that I no longer use my Coach bags much (I have 4, all bought at Goodwill), but I would be all over that cute messenger bag! It makes me happy looking at it.

I agree. But, a lot of what is being sold on Ebay & Poshmark is also used stuff. Goodwill makes a killing selling used stuff. The market is there and ThredUp is still around, years & years later. I have purchased items on there before (I had a coupon code) and found new items as well. A sweater for my niece was $12 instead of the retail price of $128 and it was new with tags. But some stuff is not a great deal at all.

@@whitneysanders6996 My Goodwill is much more expensive. They have workers that look up everything that comes out and they have a boutique in their store. Ann Taylor LOFT dresses are $14.99 and up, Coach would be at least $20, Burberry jackets are $149.99, etc. They are pricing their items high and don't have sales like "blue tags are half off." The items are also put on the floor with flaws and so it is common to see a stained Under Armour t-shirt for $10-$20.

Yes to the shoes! After watching your clothing thredup box I ordered one and was pleasantly surprised by what I got. Can definitely make my money back and a profit, not a huge profit but it was fun and I kept several pieces for myself and family members.

Ok the first bag isn't my style but looked gently used, I loved the second one, What was the issue with the third one ? The fourth one wasn't my style but didn't seem bad, Loved the Blue one,it was a bit big for my needs,but nice, Uber cute on the wristlet.
The third bag doesn't really have major flaws. The inside of the pocket had dust (which I cleaned out) and the was a little "pick" in the fabric. Thanks for your comment!

What thred up does it if you don't want the item back then they sell it in a Rescue box type situation. How long ago did you buy your rescue box from Thred Up because I have checked their site and they only now have mix clothing and scarves..
You can pay ThredUp to send everything back or have them keep the item. You need to decide when sending in your items and I believe it is $12.99 to get any items back.
I just ordered my 1st box and it wasn’t worth it. One wasn’t authentic the other 3 were absolutely filthy only 1 was resell-able.
Love the video. I don't ask for my items back from thredup so wonder if this is where the good items they don't accept go? The prices they give us for our items are ridiculous.
I agree with you on the prices they pay. They are crazy low for most items. I'm guessing ThredUp is at the point where they have so many bags being delivered that they can pay a quarter and still have way too much inventory.
In 2013, they were giving me $50-$125 per bag, in 2015, it was $14-$85, in 2017 it was $18-$65 and in the last few months it has been $15-$36. However, what I'm sending them might have changed as well since I cannot see what I sent in 2013.
I know I couldn't sell a Nanette Lepore dress on Ebay for $20. I sent it in and they gave me $27. Citizens for Humanity jeans I couldn't sell for $10 brought me $12.30. So it is still worth it (for me), especially if I'm going to donate it as I've donated more than $500 and my accountant tries to keep me under that number for my taxes.
Oh, I still use them. If it's stuff I will donate anyway then I just send them and if I make something great. If not, it's no big deal.

I usually have 1 - 2 purses & keep them for years, so I haven't been an avid purse buyer. (I guess I am not a fashionista by any stretch of the imagination.)
I think the purse before it was $328 retail. Even more ridiculous for that ugly thing. It's hard to imagine them charging that much or someone buying them at retail.

Haha! We are similar in that I own 1 purse which I replace with the same exact purse each year. I buy my new one on Ebay (usually for $35 shipped) and then resell my used one (usually for $35 shipped) and so I get a new bag each year for free. It is the Very Bradley "On the Go" in solid black. I know where everything goes and it goes with my entire wardrobe, as I wear only certain colors. It is crazy that purses are so pricey but, as a seller, I'm thrilled. ;)

I’m not a huge fan of thred up as a buyer or seller (as a buyer I constantly got things marked NWT that were in terrible condition, and as a seller I’ve had bags of NWT items get rejected), but those boxes do look worth the price! And if I knew of another site to send stuff (not high end) into besides thredup or swap I would because neither are taking anything right now lol

Awwww! Thank you! I have very oily skin and so I usually just use argan oil at night & in the morning and wash it with hand soap. Hehe. My skin reflects what I eat and so when I eat only raw, whole foods (mostly spinach & berries), it gets very clear. And then I eat something processed and it doesn't look as good ;)
I received my box today and so disappointed! I received all 5 items tossed in the box and wrap with one tissue one regular purse, all dirty and scratched in the front, one little tiny purse looks like for little girl sz of med wallet and 3 mini wallets the size of my hand or smaller. I was hoping to split it with my sister. so wish I can return them, I can't believe it,...lost $80😥

For me personally, I look at it this way, I only send them stuff that I was going to donate anyway. So I write down EVERYTHING I send them, and add it to my tax return filing papers. If I have any bags that I want to get actual money for I sell them via my postmark account. Plus I send them stuff I know they will recycle.

I got my box yesterday and was super disappointed! Only receive 2 bags. The other items were 2 small wallets and 1 tiny wristlet. The bonus item was a random checkbook cover out of a large wallets with pen marks all over it. Feeling like I wasted $80. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I know the boxes were random but I would contact ThredUp. I'm not affiliated with them at all but I found their email on their website: rescues@thredup.com
All the boxes are random and they state "Some items may have cosmetic defects, be missing labels, tags or hardware, or need to be cleaned or lightly mended". I have seen rescue boxes better than mine and worse. My ThredUp rescue box of clothing was not good. I know they have a 30 day return policy so you might want to contact them. :)

I feel like the black on the bottom of the gold purse is most likely mold.
I was able to wash it but the marks didn't come out. It sold for $6 plus shipping to someone who knew the condition issues.

just so everyone knows. ALL the boxes like this on Thread up the people receive nothing at all for these items. They r unethically selling these donated items. That being said u can really make out on these but it is all up to chance.

I hope ThredUp is giving the sender of the bag a portion of the $80. If they are just rejecting the items and the person is saying donate it but ThredUp is then profiting instead, that is not right at all. But seems like an okay deal if they are actually authentic.

I sold the last one this past week. I made a profit (after Ebay fees, Paypal fees and all shipping fees) of $68 on the first box and $92 on the second box. The big "win" was how much my ThredUp videos have made and continue to make. I have made more than $500 on all five videos and that continues to climb. I hope that helps!
